I thought I would mention that I bought this foundation and actually really love it, I didn't have any problems applying it with my fingers and it covered beautifully, no primer. It made my skin look flawless straight away with medium coverage obtained from one pump, felt lightweight all day/evening and only oxidized a tiny tiny bit. I was able to perfectly colour match to my skin and has been fine on my very sensitive skin, 53 years old. As the day went on it just kept looking better and better, does not settle into my wrinkles and gives my skin a healthy glow. I have combination/oily skin so could easily recommend it for these skin types. I hope this helps those who may be on the fence. :-)
I normally don't take the time to comment. But, I feel I need to now, just to represent all the others who are like me. I never miss a video, and I have been watching for YEARS. To say I appreciate your content would be a huge understatement. You have solved so many makeup problems for me, and literally saved me thousands of dollars at this point. I am so glad you are still doing this series, even though you have found your holy grail. As long as you can afford to do it, please don't stop. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. Thank you for all you do!
I actually love this foundation. I’ve been wearing it every day for weeks and actually reaching for it more than my high end foundation. I usually spray my face with Perfectly Posh all set coconut setting spray before I apply it with a damp sponge. I do have dry skin so I usually use my setting spray after I do my makeup and it helps it not be so matte. I did a 45 min kickboxing class and it didn’t budge.
I am going to try this one once I get a bit more "summer shade" compatible. I usually get two foundations in the summer one medium one a bit darker to blend together to deal with the constant change in summer skin tone. This seems pretty good and a great price. No point sweating off a 70 dollar foundation in the hot summer weather!
Didn't like this, but am going to give it another chance because the first time I got a shade that was too light for me and it looked a little dry and flat on my face but because there are so many colors I've ordered two more tubes since it's half price at Walmart right now.. I think adding a different primer, and a a drop of oil to it might give it a little bit of a prettier finish on the face and I've read a couple of reviews that say it needs to be on your face for a while before it really starts to look nice. So I'm going to take that into consideration as well. I'm hoping that the oil will give it a little more of a glow and make it appear prettier as well as when I blend it with the other colors in the new tubes ordered.
I'm 35 with fine lines and texture and this is the foundation I find myself coming back to often. It's very forgiving on texture! I also found the perfect match on my first try. From what I've seen, it's pretty common so I think the undertones are very realistic.
Once again, Angie's description is SO accurate. Everyone else seems to love this foundation, but now that I have tried it myself, my experience is exactly what Angie said. Difficult to apply, accentuates dry patches and wrinkles, makes skin look flakey even though I don't think my skin was flakey before I put this foundation on. Doesn't cover redness that well - seems to skip red bits so that I seem to have more redness than when I'm wearing my normal foundation. Skips over large pores. My skin looks worse with this than bare. I guess it's partly because of spf etc. under it and perhaps I could find a better combination if I tried really hard, but I don't feel motivated because I have better foundations that are much easier to use. I should never listen to anyone other than Angie! Even if it means that I should skip almost all foundations. Which would be great also! 😁 (And yes, L'Oréal True Match is much better than Revlon Candid. This reminds me of some foundation that I used in the 90s. Seems so OUTDATED!)
Thanks for this review Angie I'm glad you include foundations from all price ranges! You are my favorite reviewer for this reason, high-end or department store you give them both a fair shake. Love the sweater on you have a great day!
This is my holy grail right now! Perfect undertone, covers my spider veins on my face pretty well. Beautiful finish. And it’s drug store! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m with you, I think this is a great foundation. Decent cover, smoothing, for me it doesn’t sit in lines, lasts all day. I like the powder too. The concealer is great as well and I found that was smoothing and didn’t sit in my under eye lines. Best drugstore range I’ve tried in a long time and I would have said a great one for mature skin, I’m 62.
Hi Angie I have been wearing the Revlon Candid Foundation for several months. I love it! I am 65 years old with combo dry/normal skin. I have wrinkles, large pores and brown spots. I have found that applying this foundation with a damp beauty blender works the best for me also. I great great coverage with one pump and then a half pump over just my sun spots. I wear it over my Austrailian Gold mineral face sunscreen and a hydrating primer It gives me the most flawless finish and even skin tone. It lasts me all day. I dont find that it exaggerates texture but rather hides it very well. For me it works as well or better then my higher end foundations. Thank you for your review!
You are so photogenic. When you take a quick selfie, you always look attractive. I tried this foundation last summer. My skin is dry now that I have gotten older. I didn't like this foundation at all. It didn't dry down even with powder.
I'm 65 and absolutely LOVE this foundation! It covers for me beautifully and lasts all day. I only put a pore filler on my nose and at the sides of my nose. This is ( for me) the best drug store foundation that is good coverage without looking 'madeup' and doesn't break me out. It's funny how differently all of our experiences can be with the same product.
I am 59 with dry skin. I tried this foundation twice and came to exactly the same conclusions. It was OK but made me look older. Definitely geared toward younger skin. Love your reviews.
Yea! I am so happy to see Foundation Friday back. I was at a local drugstore yesterday and I was looking at the Revlon products. I didn't buy any of those, but I did wind up buying the Wet and Wild liquid catsuit liquid lipstick that you demoed in a past video. I bought the rebel Rose.🌼🐝🌼
It has been YEARS since I wore a liquid foundation but I saw an ad for this on tv and what drew me to it was the "Fragrance Free" claim (which I see from reading your comments isn't entirely true but oh well). My first port of call was to see if you had reviewed this but since you didn't I ducked into the store, got a sample to try and over the 2 days I tried it I fell in love with it. It is a little difficult to apply with fingers but I much prefer this method. I do struggle to blend it near the ears where it tends to cling to the tiny, fine hairs there but I love the fact it covers my mild rosacea and it doesn't irritate my skin nor make me break out and for me, it stays matte all day. I don't use any primers or setting powders and it sits on my sunscreen nicely. It doesn't cover all my sins so I will probably have to look into their concealer for that. I think if I had seen your review first, I probably wouldn't have tried it but I'm really glad that I did because mineral powder foundation can be a pain to use on textured skin and this gives me a lovely even finish. Thanks for your review Angie!
Just another person chiming in to say that I really like this foundation. I appreciate the natural look the most, plus it feels nice and lightweight on the skin But I think the real ting I love is that I was able to get a perfect colour match. Just shows how different everyone's needs are!
I actually love this foundation. I have a tough time finding one that matches my very pale, blue toned skin but 130 does the trick. It makes my skin look very natural and I photograph well in it. The foundation doesn’t do well on dry patches, and since I have very dry skin, a hydrating primer is a must. I apply with a brush, but then go over it with a beauty blender for a smoother finish. Thanks for this review. So thorough!
Wow! I went back to a hooded eye tutorial, by you, from 5 yrs ago. I can't believe how much younger you look today! I would love to see a side by side comparison of you then and now.
Thanks for your detailed assessment, Angie. I really appreciate that you consistently include sunscreen in your routine before you apply foundation. That reflects the way most of us apply our make-up (or should be if we want to block the sun from aging our skin).
I would LOVE to watch your review of the Hydroxatone BB Cream. Costco has carried it for years and I have always been curious how it wears. Thank you for being so fabulous, Angie. You have helped so much of us with our skin care and beauty game! 💜
Love your top. Great color on you. I never wear yellow I am inspired. Thanks for another helpful review. Can you do an overview on the best cruelty free / vegan skin and make up choices? Thanks!
Thank you for this review! I purchased Candid back in April and had the very same experience with application and wear -very mixed and it really performed differently depending on sunscreen used and moisturizer. I was hoping it would have been better. My reliable foundation is still Jane Iredale pressed mineral foundation powder. I also have been alternating with Trish McEvoy tinted BB+ Primer mixed with one pump of Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Sunshine drops which produces a nice glow that I sometimes lightly dust over with Colorscience or other powder sunscreen.
I agree. Tried and returned it. I just tried and I'm liking the MILANI CONCEAL + PERFECT 2-IN-1 FOUNDATION, looks very natural and not as mate as the Loreal on my skin.
I found lashes I did not know I had until I used the covergirl clump buster. And this morning I finally got my hooded eyes to not look so hooded. All thanks to you Angie.
I am 41. I like Revlon Candid, but my skin is normal. I appreciate that it does not need powder to blend bronzer & blush over it. I prefer sheer to medium coverage & this is definitely medium on me with less than a pump. I love that there’s a yellow toned fair option. Very hard to find at the drugstore.
Angie, my favorite everyday foundation is L'Oreal True Match. I sometimes mixed it with IT Cosmetics and it works really well. I am not changing my mind on True Match. As always, great content and helpful information. Thank you..
I just started using this foundation. I really like it! It's perfect coverage for me. Not too heavy, not to sheer. I also love the finish. Very natural. Not Dewey, not matte. I have combination skin for sure so I needed something that wouldn't be dry and flakey looking not something that would increase the oily parts of my skin. I set mine with the Maybelline Master fix powder and for me, this doesn't settle into my fine lines. I'd been having a problem with settling and sliding. Not with this tho! I'm really pleased with this foundation! (I'm 35 btw). Thanks for your channel!
You always give thorough reviews and look absolutely gorgeous! I am learning that foundation preferences are so individual. I like the Revlon Candid but not the L’Oréal Truematch. The L’Oréal looks heavy on my face. I also love the CYO Lifeproof and can mix it with the Candid for a better color match. It is overwhelming to choose a foundation with so many out there! Thank you for all of your information.
I love your phone test! I wear glasses and foundations which fail your phone test usually tend to stick really badly on my glasses and look gross on the part touching nose.
Thanks so much for these reviews. I will be 70 in July and am always looking for something that won't settle into wrinkles. I like using the Elf Primer with my foundations. I am currently using Fit Me Foundation in Ivory.♥
I had the worst experience with this foundation. Major dry patches and it turned orange so I looked like a Cheeto. I like that you experiment with different things when you try foundations.
I had to return this foundation because it oxidized on me. It looked decent enough with a primer and setting powder, but the oxidation was too much. Thanks for these foundation reviews!
walkofnails I wind up returning more foundations because of this same issue. So frustrating and a touch humiliating when you start off looking great, but within an hour or two, you look like some ninja came in and covered your face with an really bad bronzer. Ive stuck with bare minerals powder foundation.
Its so interesting how different things work for different people. I love this foundation. I am not one to spend a lot of money on make up and I find it so frosting to buy stuff try and basically throw it away and try something else.
Hi Angie. I really enjoy your foundation reviews and thank you for the time and effort you put into them. In case it helps anyone, the ingredient ETHYLENE BRASSYLATE is a fragrance. It is often used as a masking fragrance in some cosmetics and ointment/cream medications. I suspect that is the scent although “fragrance “ is not listed on the label. Feel free check me and look it up online. There is a decent overview in the the EWG’s cosmetic ingredient listings.
Well, then, I’ll stick with my True Match. I am so glad that they added 1/2 shades! Last summer, I had to mix C2 and C3 to get the color just right. Now they have C2.5 which will be perfect when I get more color in my face and a touch of it added to my C2 now gets me the perfect color for my Minnesota still wintery pale (but getting better) face color. Would you consider doing a drugstore brands primers review video? And do some work better depending on the season (especially for those of us who live in areas with actually cold winter and warm summer)? That would be really helpful to those of us who can’t afford to spend high end dollars experimenting.
Same here. I'm 35 but bc of my past drug use and smoking cigarettes, my skin is now more mature than my age. (My own fault). But I do love this foundation. I agree with what she was saying but I use high end primers underneath so I got a better result from using the Revlon candid. And I use the Peter Thomas Roth hyaluronic cloud cream moisturizer.. omg what a difference that stuff makes. Lol
@@Crystal0139 aww thank you so much! That means so much to me. Today in my recovery I help women into & maintain their recovery as well. So I'm paying it forward to all my beautiful women around the world. And I also help them with self esteem and selfcare/self love and makeup and skin care is a huge part of helping myself and them. So I owe a lot to makeup lol 💜
I have it in Vanilla. Use a damp sponge. I’m pretty happy with it. I don’t use primers, just sunscreen. Lasts well, and I can live with the yucky phone imprint. I just keep the phone off my face.
This is my new drugstore Holy Grail! I also think it gives my Chanel a run for it's money!! I love, love, love it!!! I'm 47, with combination skin! I love to that it makes my face look so natural and doesn't settle to fine lines. I set it with It bye, bye pore powder.
Hi Angie, I know you are probably overwhelmed by emails but I can not find the answer to this question, and I think you answered it in one of your videos. Q: How do you re-apply sunscreen only an hour after you've done your makeup without completely ruining your freshly made up face or without feeling gross? Thanks in advance if you find the time to tackle this one or point me in the direction of which video I need to see.
I’m fifty with dry and combination skin. I bought the Chanel foundation you love, and I want to love it too. It either fills my pores like polka dots or skips over my pores if I use a primer. Do you have any tips? Thank you!
Happy Foundation Friday Angie❣️ You always look amazing but yellow is YOUR shade😍! Wow, honestly your skin looks like it’s getting younger & your eyes are nice & bright! Have a great weekend🤗💛
Hi Angie, First let me say that I really enjoy your videos as I just turned 51 this year. I know your not a medical DR. but I would like to know what you think about Hormone Replacement Therapy for premenopausal and postmenopausal women. I have been told that this type of treatment can not only assist with symptoms such as hot flashes etc., but also in keeping skin thicker, plumper and healthier. I was just prescribed Bijuva, a plant based hormone treatment (which I have not began taking yet) and I must admit that I am a little cautious but also thankful that medicine has come so far. I read the following, "Taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can improve skin hydration by replacing oestrogen levels in your body. Many women who take HRT often notice that their skin becomes brighter with an improved texture and tone. HRT can also reduce ageing of your skin. Your skin often looks firmer and plumper as the oestrogen works to strengthen the collagen and elastin fibres.". I am interested to know what you think about this type of medicine as women age into their 50's and beyond?
Thank you, Angie, for the confirmation. I bought this and it was so difficult to apply! I used the elf primer (which I love!) but it did not extend the wear much at all. Ended up throwing it out....that's how unhappy I was with it. That goes for the concealer too.
Hi Angie I've been waiting for you to review this one! I have the same outcome as you on this one. Sponge works the best. But it does pill on certain areas and does cling to dry patches. I do love the powder though! I'm 58 and value your opinion. It is a so so foundation. Love foundation Fridays!😘
I really like this foundation. I didn’t find any of your cons to be the case for me. It looks nice on my skin. I have more dry/normal skin so maybe that’s the difference. It has replaced my It Cosmetics CC cream. I haven’t tried the powder but I might.
I tried this foundation a while back! I am in my early 60s and I found it to be a wonderful drugstore foundation. I did try to apply it with a brush and a beauty blender. But the best way that I found it to work was with my fingers. Thank you for a great review even though I disagreed with you LOL :-) have a great day
Just went back to see this review as I’ve been using my candid more, it really looks nice on you esp outside vs a lot of others that look different outside.
Love this review like all of the other reviews you do. I probably sound like a broken record but could you do a tutorial on the Fame palette? Your eyes always look amazing when you wear it!
I had been considering giving the candid foundation a try, so thank you for the thorough review! I have been using the candid concealer and it’s amazing, especially for under eye! Love your channel and so appreciate all the time that you put into bringing us great content!
I have this, like it a lot. Wish it had spf. I use primer with spf at times or use it on top of sunscreen. I always powder. The PC spf50 mattifying fluud works great. I don't really have wrinkles, so whatever your age, something to consider.
I like the candid on my normal to dry skin with catrice dewy glow setting spray. I don’t powder when i can help it..powder just doesn’t look great in my skin. I have a flat kabuki brush by Sonia kashuk that i got from target that applies it nicely, then i go over it with the beauty blender to finish..i definitely like your foundation reviews even though I’m in my late 30’s ❤️ keep em comin’!
Love ur channel. You look so pretty. And I also like that nail polish shade. I'm so glad u always include the name of ur nail polish in the box. Thanks for doing that for us! Luv ya. ❤️
Looking pretty fabulous there Angie...I’m 54 and I was going to buy this foundation I just needed to see someone review it ...Good Job..👏 I use YSL all in one glow foundation I love it so much and it always looks fabulous...Anyhoo I need a everyday foundation I may give this one a whirl.. Thanx Again ♥️🇦🇺♥️♥️🇦🇺♥️🇦🇺
The transfer test is a decider for me. My phone is always so greasy. Can't wait to try the chanel foundation u mentioned here and in a previous video. The true match I am overwhelmed. I don't know where to start in choosing a "match."
I am so excited. Been looking for a foundation this morning for my channel! Already looked at 3 of your foundation videos this morning! Great timing!!!!
Hi Angie, I’m wondering if you’ve ever tried the Revlon photoready candid under eye concealer? If so, what are your thoughts on it? I’m wondering if it’ll just behave the same as the foundation. Thanks!
HI Angie! LOVE your videos! Can you please do a video on skin tones with picking out foundation and concealer? Warm, Cool, Neutral !!! Sooo confusing!!
I’m a few mo the shy of 62 I my skin is on the dryer side of dry to normal. I do moisturize well and then use a facial sunscreen I’ve had great luck with this foundation. I ended up with a way to light shade somehow what I picked up and what went into my bag was not the same. However it worked out great because I’ll use this one 50 shade on the Revlon glow to mix in with my cosmetics medium cc which that works well for me also and I use the benefit poor FessionalHydrating primer. I also like the number seven city light tinted moisturizer works well on my skin and oddly enough remember the old Loriell blur foundation? That worked very well on my skin also
I really like this foundation. I like the fact that it has tons of pigment in little carrier material. I'm in my mid 60s and it would be weird if I didn't have wrinkles, so I don't try to make them disappear. I use just one pump. This foundation doesn't make anything worse, doesn't sit on the skin like a layer of frosting, and smooths out the colour of my face without obscuring my skin. I like my skin to show. Nobody looking at me could tell that I'm wearing foundation, and that's the look I'm going for: Invisible foundation; non-clumping mascara; eyebrow gel; and lipstick on lips, cheeks-lightly, chin-lighter yet, and forehead. I like to look like an attractive, healthy old broad. ;0) I bet the tiniest drop of grape seed oil will make it even better.
I just discovered you, and I can't stop appreciating how beautiful you are, and I love all the effort you put in all your videos. Love it! Much love from Argentina!
Diane Sedacca This is current in Australia! Lol Besides, I kinda like that she doesn’t only do reviews on the newest foundations that *every* other UA-camr is making videos about.🤷♀️
Kristy Kelly Yeah, they like to make us wait for it! Lol. I remember the Maybelline Master Chrome line took about a year to get around to us. Everyone on YT was talking about it & wearing it, even many Aussie YTers as they got it in PR. That drove me mental! I just don’t see why we have to wait so long for every damn release?! Especially in the days of YT where products are shown all across the world?! Sorry, rant over!😂

Angie, I really appreciate your approach to test these products for us over 50s. Thank you.

This is by far the best drugstore foundation i have ever found. Wears very well in the heat n humidity!

I found lashes I did not know I had until I used the covergirl clump buster. And this morning I finally got my hooded eyes to not look so hooded. All thanks to you Angie.
Love that yellow sweater on you.
Mature, less than perfect skin? You are so humble. You look amazing and younger by the day:)). I love your reviews. Thank you, thank you!
Thank you..
Hello Sunshine🌞love your drugstore foundation reviews!!
Would love to see a review on the Bareminerals stick foundation. I appreciate how absolute honest you are
You always give thorough reviews and look absolutely gorgeous!
Nothing has been beating my CYO #107 foundation!! Works on me so, so well. Thank you 😊
I love your phone test! I wear glasses and foundations which fail your phone test usually tend to stick really badly on my glasses and look gross on the part touching nose.
Can you review Jeffree Star's concealer and setting powder? Would love to see how it does on mature skin.
Nail colour is so cute with your tops...thanks Angie you are a superstar!⭐️
Thanks so much for these reviews. I will be 70 in July and am always looking for something that won't settle into wrinkles. I like using the Elf Primer with my foundations. I am currently using Fit Me Foundation in Ivory.♥
You do the best reviews ever, thank you
Agreed! 😊❤
That color sweater looks amazing on you!
Ulta started carrying Jane iredale products. Please review the liquid mineral foundation and BB cream.
Ooooo, yes please!
really!!! no way!!!
I did not know that! JI mineral foundation is my favorite for yrs
Pumped I can get Jane Iredale there. Been using the powder foundation for years -second a review of Jane Iredale products in general.
Love your foundation reviews 😊. I’m only in my 30s but I find your videos helpful as I have textured skin....
Same here..she’s so thorough!
Lol
Tanya Bobanya I know I love how thorough she is. She does the best reviews I’ve ever seen
Recovery Realness 24/7 congratulations on the recovery that is so awesome!! Huge! Never give up
@@Crystal0139 aww thank you so much!
I love that shade of yellow on you, you look gorgeous in that sweater.
Thank you Angie! I love Foundation Friday videos. I'm always interested in foundations and you do such a thorough job at reviewing them!
Another thorough review thanks Angie. Ps those earrings are fun and that top is a cologne you don’t wear often on screen but it really works
Love your citizen science approach. I never comment (until now) but I learn so much from you.
I read the following,
"Taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can improve skin hydration by replacing oestrogen levels in your body.
You look great in yellow. Nice yellow sweater and matching yellow nail polish. 👍
Why on earth would anyone give your videos a 👎?! Crazy! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Angie, for the confirmation. I bought this and it was so difficult to apply! I used the elf primer (which I love!) but it did not extend the wear much at all. Ended up throwing it out....that's how unhappy I was with it. That goes for the concealer too.
You’re skin looks gorgeous in the sun!! Mine is covered in craters from acne😐
Great review Angie! I will have to try the powder and that morphe setting spray
Hi Angie
I've been waiting for you to review this one!
Im fourteen and i use the concealer and the foundation. In love!!!!!
I tried this foundation a while back! I am in my early 60s and I found it to be a wonderful drugstore foundation. I did try to apply it with a brush and a beauty blender. But the best way that I found it to work was with my fingers. Thank you for a great review even though I disagreed with you LOL :-) have a great day
Like the yellow top and white earrings combo they look great together...
I love your yellow top, you are a ray of sunshine! Please share where you bought it. Thank you!
Great colour sweater...and love your hair!
I had been considering giving the candid foundation a try, so thank you for the thorough review! I have been using the candid concealer and it’s amazing, especially for under eye! Love your channel and so appreciate all the time that you put into bringing us great content!
You take such beautiful photos in each of your foundation Friday videos ❤️
I have this, like it a lot. Wish it had spf. I use primer with spf at times or use it on top of sunscreen. I always powder. The PC spf50 mattifying fluud works great.
I don't really have wrinkles, so whatever your age, something to consider.
Angie, I would love to see you review the NYX Total Control Drop Foundation and Primer.
So in your opinion which foundation is best in terms of not clinging to dry areas and wrinkles and gives a nice glow?
What would you say is the best sunscreen that works best under at least 90% of foundations
Luv ya. ❤️
Your reviews are perfection.
I love your Foundation Fridays. Thank you once again.
Great and timely video. I'm test-driving the L'Oreal True Match and was debating whether to try the Revlon Candid. You just saved me $11. Thanks.
Looking pretty fabulous there Angie...I’m 54 and I was going to buy this foundation I just needed to see someone review it ...Good Job..👏 I use YSL all in one glow foundation
I love it so much and it always looks fabulous...Anyhoo I need a everyday foundation I may give this one a whirl.. Thanx Again ♥️🇦🇺♥️♥️🇦🇺♥️🇦🇺
You are so dang thorough!! Love it! And really appreciate it! Always enjoy your reviews.🤗
The transfer test is a decider for me. My phone is always so greasy. Can't wait to try the chanel foundation u mentioned here and in a previous video. The true match I am overwhelmed. I don't know where to start in choosing a "match."
The foundation looked good on you! I thought the second day you rocked it!
Thank you, was going to pick this up. But if it keeps going sour at the 5 hr mark that’s not to good.
Please review more high end popular foundations. So curious about it cosmetics confidence in a bottle and also more concealers
I have been watching Angie for years she has a whole list of high end foundations.jennifer😃
If you go to her PLAYLISTS all the foundation videas are together; there is a LOT.
I realize she has the list. Just want her to review more current foundations
Diane Sedacca This is current in Australia! Lol
Besides, I kinda like that she doesn’t only do reviews on the newest foundations that *every* other UA-camr is making videos about.🤷♀️
Kristy Kelly Yeah, they like to make us wait for it! Sorry, rant over!😂
Thank you! I was wondering about this foundation specifically and Angie you set the standard! The yellow is a great look for you btw.
I use this foundation mixed into others, and have really loved it this way😊
