To put it simply. Wing chun works. As does any other form you train. As long as you train and practice real situations. As for mma. Can you tell me what art that is. I believe it's a mix. There is know one art that can prevail while being true to its form. Time has proven fighter's need to be well versed in many styles to succeed.

When are people going to understand that movie kung fu only happens in....the moooovies.🤔
Many things from many different martial arts are applied practically every day either all around the world,from street fights to MMA kickboxing etc there are some basics that are grounded in traditional martial arts and have and can be applied depending on the situation.
From a few centuries to some decades ago in China in particular many people survived,from bandits,duels if they were from rivals clans or protecting important persons and officials,by knowing martial arts and by using them and those are Real historical facts.
So to make an easy generalization about kung fu or any other martial art (one of the oldest usefull methods of self defence ever) is just as bad as having people believe it is all magically "supernatural" and don't have a clue what real martial arts means.

You can make wing chun work on mma, as long as you know how to:
1 Close the distance to trapping range.
2 Takedown defense.
3 How to fall.
4 How to get off the ground.
5 How to get back to trapping range from the clinch.
6 How to maintain the trapping range.
7 Wing Chun (ofc XD)
Because wing chun is 99% striking on the traping range. Also, the hand strikes are less effective with gloves, so be prepared to use your wing chun elbows (and low kicks) a lot more than you use to.
