Nice setup. I have a question.... I just own c02 m02 and I just fully serviced them so I can hear them as new ones. But I also have Rotel Michi rha10 and rhb 10. Which one should I keep? My speaker are focal Electra 907

too much resonance in the boxes, needs stiffening but not with crossmembers that will take out the life of the speaker, just make a H out of ½" thick by 2" ply, two steps up the side 5" in front and back and one across the middle making sure, you're too close to top and bottom 3" gap. used builders adhesive to attach. make sure your drivers are very tight should always be checked every 5 years

Its not from the boxes. Room needs to be treated. Secondly flooring is suspended wooden flooring, hence the speakers needs to be raised and isolated from floor. They are in my to do list next 😊. Thanks 👍🏻

These speakers are super solid and no need for any mods. They are well braced inside and 40kgs each. Midrange chamber is made with combo of concrete and metal.

well anything can be improved upon! I'm not a fan of heavily brace speakers prefer the lossless variety, its hard to achieve thats why manufactures keep away from it

@@hoobsgroove moongel will get absolutely squeezed and crushed out of shape by those speakers. Moongel is good for bookshelves and light electronics, even average sized record players.
If a heavily braced speakers sounds “bad”, there are two parts to that story. But it’s the closest it sounds to open baffle dipole, if modes are well controlled. Meaning, a well braced speaker with good dispersion is the fastest route to a speaker disappearing and just music playing behind them.
Some manufacturers use resonance to add body to low volume reproduction, downside is that as soon as you play hard, you hear the box and the floating music behind is gone along with the spaciousnesses.
To each their own I guess. I much preferred the heavily braced boxes. They bring the concert hall home.
