I am a Samoan hymn lyricist and music composer but i can't tell how amazing the Tongan students in this video perform that medley. The voices are indescribable and it was stunning. What i have found from Tongan form of music is that most of it is basically a pacific organised opera including an alternate version sung by the choir. Love the music and really appreciate the effort that has be put into it by the Choir Director.
uso im samoan & you’re right! samoan is too westernised with their vi’igas now with all their beats and instruments while tonga keeps it old school, love it
Oh what a blessed way to be occupied with listening to these blessed young Tongan men and women singing so beautifully. Exquisite voices which each melt together after those gorgeous leads. Such glorious harmonious matches. The young men are so beyond description, I feel so fortunate to have come across such powerful young performers. Thank God for them.
Astounding, awesome performance! I am thrilled to hear this group sing. I feel that this music compares as much as possible to what we will hear in heaven. I am blown away! Listening from Florida, USA. 2022.
Vinaka vakalevu Tupou High School..........wow this school have talented singers all over junior/senior/boys/girls and teachers! Really impressive........
A powerful rendition of the famous hymn "Nearer my God to thee" composed by Sarah Flower Adams in the opening item of the medley but in the Tongan language. Thank you Tupou High School for such a brilliant performance, exquisite and legendary

Amongst the BEST CHOIR THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY ENTIRE MUSICAL INTEREST, YOU SHOULD ALL BE PROUD OF YOUR PERFORMANCE.
