DANA@50 All Kinds of Everything 1974 (FoD#82)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 лют 2020
- This could be the only time we see DANA performing an acoustic version of her signature tune, played here for the students of Thornhill College, a Roman Catholic grammar school for girls run by the Sisters of Mercy (hit TV series Derry Girls is based on the school). As Rosemary Brown she joined Thornhill in 1963 when living on the Creggan housing estate, and left in 1970 as a Bogside resident.
Having such a beautiful voice she missed a trick by not making an acoustic album to highlight it, unless you include the album Dana's Ireland from 1991. Lots of Irish melodies with soft Irish music backing her soft Irish voice. A Dana's Ireland DVD (with a bonus CD) was later released in 2013. It wouldn't hurt to upload a video from that (FoD#85) to promote it as it's still on sale and worth every penny.
After 50 years, "All kind of everything " remains one of the favourites for those who grew up in the 70s. It was also one of the best Eurovision winning songs.
Dana always reminded me of my beautiful Auntie Celia. I am here as she has sadly died, after a short illness. I used to think she was an angel when I was young. She actually sounded like Dana also, coming from Waterford Ireland.
Such a purity about this romantic song that captured my heart in 1970; raptured by that gentle voice and innocent face🙏
Simply beautiful and pure - the song and Dana
That's right, i agree.

Saw Dana in winter gardens blackpool early 90s this song went down a storm when she sang it ' she seemed taken aback and quite emotional by the response a lovely humble lady.
She's on the roll of honour at Blackpool Opera House for the year 1990, so that could be when you saw her, you lucky man!

The rhythm so perfect and suiting to my ears and peace came again and again everytime 45yrs I had heard it. I will sing and sing again and again if I feels sad and I dedicated this wonderful song to my offspring... my adorable daughter....Kah Mun.
something addictive about this video
That's just so lovely. It shows what a great musician Dana is, when she can carry this song so well without the backing of a full orchestra. Quite a dab hand on the old guitar as well. Great vid, thanks for posting.
Wonderful song from a wonderful lady, pure and simple

Thanks for sharing this rare videotape. Such a lovely and cosy athmosphere, especially when kids start to sing along.
Sorry for my poor English.
Your English is great. You just spelled atmosphere wrong but no biggie.
@@richardyoung9024 thank you, for your kind words. My English is far from great, though :)
Anyway, greetings from Siberia and have a good day )
@@zeliboba7131 It is great to see you here. Erik from Norway greets you.
Your English is better than many who speak it naturally in the U.K. and the U.S.!
@@therealbomb_com8774 you haven't heard my accent yet )
It can be used as a torture
Thank you for sharing your music to me and to us. Happy 50th anniversary!!! You're the only singer i admire so well. Your songs are so meaningful and you sung from your heart that touches my heart too.
Magic jewelry
cannot beat the old days with feeling in it ❤❤❤
this is the first time I have seen this one very good
Uma bela menina! Uma linda canção.
Sou coevo de Dana. Talvez da mesma idade. Saudade da voz angélica e do rosto romântico. Um beijinho, de Lisboa.
Great way to play the guitar with a pick to fingerstyle the song.
Todos los niños deberían tener una profe así, que les enseñen canciones como esta. Creo que el mundo sería un lugar muchísimo mejor para vivir.
Concuerdo.
Dana was a delight, such an unnassuming girl, but it needed a song as good as this to beat Mary Hopkins in Eurovision.
Amazing!
Wonderful
Dana menyanyikan lagu ini sejak masih kanak2.
🇪🇸💙🇮🇪
Can we have more?

Is this filmed in Derry?
Yes, in the now abandoned Thornhill College on Culmore Rd, Derry, the school she attended from 1963 until 1970. A modern college of the same name replaced it just across the road.
All kind of everything 1974? Tinker tailor soldier spy film?
Those poor young people growing up in such a dangerous fractured enviroment.
