I always become emotional whenever Sita comes to my mind, whenever hear the very name, and your lightning narratives have added a different magnitude. I find solace to the very name - SitaRam.

The love that Rama and Sita had, was mesmerizing in all ways, and the prettiest thing on Earth. The risk of getting eaten by a beast, and the surety of having to sleep on the bare ground, as compared to the safety of the palace, and the comfort of it, was nothing to her if it meant not being with the man she loved, not more that herself, but just as much as herself, since she made no distinction between him and her own person. That was Sita Devi for you.

So this event proves Ram was not authoritarian. In this event it was really easy to order Sita to stay home but he didn't. Going into his frustrating situation any nobel person would order his wife to stay as it would be an added responsibility but he proved he was better than anyone else.
