I had a Traxxas Slash with Proline Slayer shell and did a light kit that looked very similar to your UDR. I used light buckets from my daughters unused Bratz dolls toy limousine which were virtually identical to ones you made. That interior is awesome buddy!

Great work! This truck begs for this type of beautiful, scale detail and you did it justice. However, I agree with you that it will not appeal to MOST UDR owners who want to run these pretty hard like the 1:1 and not risk destroying hours and hours of tiny scale detail work. I feel like this level of detail rightfully relegates the truck to a shelf queen or very light, clean runner. I love your channel and attention to detail. We are very similar in terms of how we approach r/c projects and your channel serves as inspiration to my own when I get it up and running.
Yeah that is about right. None of what I have made for the UDR is for 99.9% of the UDR install base LOL! It is for weirdo's like me that run the car at 1/4 throttle on the slow setting. Glad I am not the only one! Please get it up and running! UA-cam needs more slow RC drivers, hahahah!
you will probably need a dedicated 3s lipo just for all the LED's and fans you put on that thing lol. Love these kind of mods!

Dude I love it. I can’t believe you made one of these look like something I want. Buuuuuttttt instead I just bought another tyco bandit instead. The Yellow and black one I’ve been looking to find for a couple years now. Now when I get the Harley body I’ll have all three of the ones i had as a kid.

I would've painted the insides of the buckets with Molotow Liquid Chrome markers (or, better yet, airbrush paint). These are the shiniest chrome you can achieve short of vacuum metallizing the parts, but their nearly deal braking notorious drawback is their vulnerability to contact. However, that's the beauty part about using it on light buckets - they touch nothing.
I totally agree. I just didn't have any at the time and I needed to get this thing done.
Even since you checked at full suspension compression and steering lock that the tire does clear the housing, I would take into account that the tires might end up hitting while driving cause the tire balooning
Otherwise, I'm really liking the way this build is turning out.
Yeah good point but if that kind of driving is planned then this wont stay stuck to the body for sure.
