Depends on choreography but we probably spend an hour learning each chore and spend another hour shooting. Sometimes shorter or longer.

I studied Kenjutsu for a few years, specifically Katori Shinto Ryu. But this type of film action stuff is more self-taught.

On a serious note tho, learn the basic of sword technique and handling at any dojo with a dull sword or wooden sword. Or even online, there are so many excellent online material. I highly recommend my friend’s channel “Kaz Samurai Arts” to check out!
