I can tell you don't cast Atlanteans much, you keep talking about them bringing out siege in the heroic age, but they don't get any until mythic! (They do get destroyers however, which are kinda infantry siege). Great game, I love the commentary.
Yeah I basically never play them outside of for fun team games, I didn't realize they don't have siege outside of destroyers/myth units until Mythic age, thank you for highlighting that!
@@georgefekete5993 I’ll need to go back and add a pop up on that video to clarify how it works based on what I learned after. Thanks for commenting and watching!
Wow, is carnivora that weak? Is it cos it was a classical age Carnivora? Ive seen Carnivora simultaneously destroy whole TC's under construction, AND in this video, fail to kill one villager with 30s of slapping. It feels like a Siege unit? Idk
They have a 0.25 multiplier vs villagers, otherwise they would be insanely annoying harass units, you still can't ignore them for long but they won't instantly force people off resources, plus good crush for stopping TC's.
It's pretty weak, but as you can see in this cast, you do easily get 3-5 uses out of it in a game. Dropping on Town Centers/fortresses during combat does seem to be how you get the highest value.
@@matt-z5j that seems to be what everyone says, do you happen to know where that is public knowledge (wiki, tooltips, etc) or is this from some of the sheets people have posted from testing it
@@LowsmithAOM-Retold i tested it myself. I dont have a public source. I tested for both Thor and Odin to compare. I did all resources from all sources except fish. Thors gold mine is also excepted ofc as it has a higher gather rate that scales with age. Its easy to find out since workers in retold display the gather rate with two decimals when you select them as they are gathering. Its gonna be at the bottom of the window that displays different stats like attack damage, armor etc. That gather rate is independent of dropsite. So it doesn't matter if you send them into the middle of nowhere to gather without a dropsite.
Maybe that healing well placement singlehandedly lost him the match. Not a single heal throughout the game, might have just won him the game if it was on the 2nd town centre would have helped him to defend it Also the second town cente itself was a very questionable move and those mass berserk conversions also pretty much ended the game for him
Agreed, a bit of a misjudgment on his end. If he had converted a few dwarves to Berserk immediately when he started the TC (or gone for the more defensive settlement), he probably would have gotten it up just fine.

Dwarves gather at 3% less for everything but gold.
