My headcannon is that the characters are reincarnations of the respective Disney Characters (with the exception of Jack, whom is the reincarnation of the Big Bad Wolf from Disney's Three Little Pigs, Epel whom is meant to be the off screen farmer who unintentionally helped the Evil Queen cultivate the Apple that she poisoned Snow White with, and Ortho who seems to be Cerberus coded in a literal and metatextual sense.) sure they have similarities to other characters in the respective films but that is just to help flesh them out as Original Characters for Twisted Wonderland. Example: i don't see Deuce as being the reincarnation of the White Rabbit, i think he is just a Two of Spade Card Soldier while his mother Dila is the Reincarnation of the White Rabbit. So Deuce just inherited White Rabbit quirks from her. I dont know why i brought that up. I think reading Deuce's thoughts on Alice's Painting made me think he's experiencing a sense of Deja vu while also vowing to exact his revenge. It is so weirdly specific and i don't know why.
Online learning and self-study are what I do but I'm definitely not a pro at it. 😭 The best I can do is read and understand some words and my skill of putting words together in Japanese is subpar. As for speaking...we don’t talk about my verbal skills here. But if there are words/phrases that I don't understand while I read, I'll just use translation apps to help me etc
