0:52 water physics look really solid is such a funny line
lmao
isnt it crazy how visual fidelity has gotten so good that people are having difficulty knowing whether its real time or pre rendered? especially for a title like gta 6 where the scope of the game is much bigger than linear titles like tlou2, pushing graphics like this insane, i dont understand how rockstar keeps doing this, wizards over there i swear
in 10 years let's hope game visuals will be indistinguishable from real life
It's easy to notice that it's rendered in-engine because the lighting isn't perfect, and many NPCs and cars don't cast accurate shadows. However, that doesn't mean it wasn't enhanced for the trailer. The cinematic depth of field and vehicle density seem to be done by hand just to make the game look good. Additionally, all the social media videos are prerendered.
@@edwardgarrity1754 it will never get to that point it’s just not possible in anyway. There is no unsound technology to make it happen either. Kids like you need to be realistic with your expectations.
To me, what makes a game impressive to me is the graphic representation on an artistic scale as oppose to a realistic scale.
The most beautiful game that I have played is another R* game. Red Dead Redemption 2.
The reason being is not because it has realistic graphics. It is its unique take on realism that won me. Like an Artist painting almost, Every part of that game oozed color theory. The scale of the sky box as it mirrors the landscape encapsulate appealing proportions. The use of light and shadow and the grit of the world made it feel surreal I have never screenshotted so much while playing a game.
If R* aim on GTAIV follows what they did on RDR2 GTA will have that place won. It is games like RDR2 that stands the test of time because they are not aiming to be photoreal, they are showcasing that behind all the technical aspects, behind all the pixels, there are artists at work.
Watch York React’s, ex Rockstar dev, break down of the trailer, he says this is all in engine
That guy was an animator, and he seems to know a lot about a game he didn't work on.
His reactions are entertaining, but I wouldn't take his statements as fact.
GTA trailers have always looked exactly like the gameplay.
They don’t use cinematic cutscenes like many games.
The do use cinematic cuts and maybe even pre renderd cut scenes. They just do exaggerate the graphics to look better.
@balloonb0y677 nope, watch all their trailers and you will see the game has the same graphics if not better than the trailer
@balloonb0y677 I know I'm late, but RDR 2 overall looks better at release than in the promotional material. Especially some of the character models.
R* has always only shown in engine/in game real time footage.
From GTA 1 all the way up to now.
They haven't given us a reason to doubt it's real time because they've only shown real time.
Not only in GTA but in ALL their games since the beginning.
I REALLY want 60FPS for RDR2 but native 4K at 30FPS does look amazing 🤩
I’m ready to see actual gameplay and I think Luke will be upset with FSR 3 bc it doesn’t bring any picture quality enhancements
My favorite resolution method was used for "The Order 1886" , those black bars were genius, made the game more cinematic and reduces the amount of pixels on screen to increase resolution overall. Just ashamed the gameplay was mid at best, and not to mention short.
I think they themselves released the source code for 5 to delay 6 lol
no way a source code is way to valuable and plus they didn't even give a date for 6 just the YEAR it comes out and like what they revealed the year 2/3 weeks ago why would they turn around so quickly and say "oh no we need until 2026 and maybe beyond" it has to be a leak from a third party
Lol I like where ur head is at
4k is good but not a deal breaker this game will look amazing either way
wow, that would be dissappointing if its only 30fps, playing at 30 fps makes me feel dizzy, Im still waiting for a rdr2 60 fps patch to finally be able to play it.
HDR on RDR2 actually works nowdays, you need to change HDR mode from 'cinematic' to 'game' and tweak the two options to match your TV specs
Merry Christmas!
My guess is that it’ll be 1440p upscaled to 4k at 30fps and a 1080p 60fps option that might be upscaled to 1440p. Shame for me personally it’s not coming to PC at launch because I can usually upscale 1440p to 4k at 60fps. But no matter what the game will be amazing and look awesome
Merry Christmas Luke!
The pixel count could be influenced by compression
i Hope the Trailer is Running on PC to piss off both SIdes
Love Digital Foundry’s old work, but their new stuff is so tainted by Nvidia that it’s like “huh?”
I don't know how much I'd be able to enjoy playing video games if I analyzed every pixel like that trio. I get that that's probably the purpose if the channel, but damn. I feel like over-analyzing everything takes away the joy of playing.
Would be kind of funny if they finally added kids, but to discourage people from going on shooting rampages on them, if you kill a kid you get 7 stars and God smites you with lightning. It would be hilariously goofy.
You know the simple fact is that people love to find ways to hate a game and then try to compliment it after they do it correctly all the way I don't like that first of all this is an unfinished product right now this video could have been taken 2 years ago for all we know and people are just saying stuff just to say it I don't come to an assumption and I don't base my assumptions on other people's opinions because that's not how this stuff works so basically what I'm saying is going to be a 4K 60 frames per second
In my opinion I feel like 1080p is great enough for gaming with good fps.
I call 1440p 4k-ish
Both 4k AND UHD are marketing terms
on ps4 pro/xb1x generation gta 5 didnt get any performance modes. It didnt have any enhancements to regular ones.
It got HDR and 4K on Xbox one s and x just PlayStation didn’t get anything
That’s how I am with games. As long as it looks good/ fun and it works then I’m good. Some of these terms they are saying I just have no idea what they mean… as long as I’m having a good time I’m ok 💯. Yeah I want it to be good graphics, but all the things these guys are saying it just wont get me to not get a game because of a few of those things… no that doesn’t matter to me
Why every talk about GPUs is around nShitia GPUs?
Because Nvidia has 75% of the discrete GPU market share.
Console generations are about to be completely pointless. Development on AAA games is going to take two generations or more of consoles to make. It's really stupid the direction the industry is going in.
I mean duuuh people want their game look good and they dont care about fsr 3 or whatnot. But arent those the tools to make the games look good. End user may not care about them, but thise being there would enhance your experience a lot. I mean i dont want to play gta6 on my series s in 20fps and 720p...
I spend half an hour on my brightness settings...
talk about ac red
That game has great potential I hope Ubisoft won't screw it up
@@kalaichelvan I also hope for a truly next gen assassins creed, japan and assassins sounds extremely cool
Speculations based on trailers like that are not only pointless but creates problem you complain all the time about, Hype. Until game comes out, any speculations, guesses etc are useless. How many time this happened? Almost every time any hyped game comes out. Wait for the game, then analyse it.
i will believe the game is good when it comes out. when are we as gamers gonna learn our lesson to stop believing these devs that made some of the best games that we love are no longer the same?
Rockstar are the exception to this rule. Yes I realise the GTA Trilogy was abysmal but they outsourced that. We can rest assured that this game will be ace.
Rockstar games have almost always been super solid with the base game. The support may suck but the original game about always hits great
So a breakdown... of a breakdown. Such originality
Its just a clip taken from his live where he reacts to things with his audience bro, if u wanna critique his content at least do it on his main channel lmao
Why did I listen to this nerd show? Most people don't know what yall be talking about
Yes the trailer does look impressive, is it actual game play footage, not just in engine? I hope you're still a sceptical person.
Your bias is showing
Something smell weird about this game. 🤔
Not really
Why are we even discussing a next console? You’ve discussed yourself how there’s a whole new wave of new games coming out made for this new generation, at no point within the next 7 years should a new console even be discussed
Uhm ps4 lifespan to the newer console 7 years. We coming up on 4 years of the ps5
Covid really 2 years
Ps5 and Series x is already 4-5 years behind pc parts. By the time you gave an iphone will have a better cpu than a ps5. By not releasing better hardware you are only limiting devs from making better games.
@@murdock5672 by releasing so many consoles so quickly makes it difficult for devs as well.. you have to find a balance.
@@KreAtorGames what do you mean "releasing consoles quickly"? Nobody expects next gen to release before 2028. 7-8 years is the traditional console life cycle. Or do you want to extend it to 10+ years like OP here?
Ask any dev, what they would rather have, more memory to store assets and textures, more gpu and cpu power so that they don't have to worry about frametime budgets all the time and waste months if not years on optimising, more ray tracing hardware so that they don't have to manually place all the lights and focus that time on more creative and novel stuff they want to implement in their game, OR stick to potato hardware for 10+ years for some reason.
gave a dislike when I found out this was a lazy reaction vid 👍
plagiarist
Dfs analysis was nonsense
You are nonsense, just like your football club LMAO
thansk to all the hyping i feel like ive already played and beaten this game 10000 times, even news articles not related to gaming are now inserting this game into their articles, its fucking ridiculous.
Breaking down a break down is crazy
Gotta make that bread. Inflation making everything expensive af ya know
After GTA 6 I would love for RS to use its framework for GTA 7 so there can be a quicker turnaround time. Not unlike the PS2 era. Their current model of waiting longer and longer between games doesn’t seem… Sustainable?
6 is the last one
At this rate 6 will be the last 1 I get to play , I won't live long enough for 7
Do people realize its on console which are a cheaper simpler version to game and then complain they aren't pumping out ray traced 4k 60fps
I can imagine so many devs use fsr because it can be used on any system rather than just pcs with nvidia graphics cards meaning any one can use the feature. It doesn’t hurt it for need a game specific implementation either.
Its very clear that Rockstar is focusing in artistry than the graphics fidelity. They aren't putting heavy things in the game just to show off, sacrificing the general fps in the process like those generic UE5 games normally does. they just make the graphics "good enough" to hold itself for a couple of years and than focus where it matters: gameplay, world simulation, physics, etc. I like that.
The thing is you cant have alan wake 2 fidelity in an urban city with potentially npcs like rdr2 or even more advanced
Exactly, so R* are not even trying. The game will look gorgeous because of the art design but "graphically" will just be a solid "good" for its time. The real impressive stuff will be the NPCs and simulation. The Trailer got me more excited because it showed that R* priorities when developing their games didn't change. They still seen to know what really matters.
@@marcus3445 the art design just seems to be for more realistic and true to life graphics
The Answer is,
1080 is around 23% of 4K
whilst 1440p is 35% of 4K
AND FOR FUN, 4K is 26% of 8K
Where like 60% + ppl(steam statistic) use only 1080p where most of ppl do not buy special tv for that, they use tv 1080p or 4k but still locked at 30fps anyway. for me 1080p its fine
51:45 Sometimes people who aren’t kids look like teens. It doesn’t make it weird.. only if weird people being weird make it weird
It looks like they are just on their knees.
It would be cool if the amount of Taffic was dependent on the time of day.
I know this comment will definitely be buried but don’t forget rockstar is creating several industry changing graphical advancements, streaming wise and how people interact with the world. This game will definitely be like nothing we’ve seen before graphically
Rockstar games are not as good as they used to be.
Yeah, its gonna be groundbreaking
In my honest opinion, Id be okay with rockstar games have a mode where you can pick 60fps. ( this is where the game will run very smooth, graphics will be good but you won't get that ray tracing and some foliage and finer details will be toned down here) and Fidelity ( this is where the graphics really shine the most on at 30fps, with ray Tracing and finer details, more foliage being amped up here)
I would think rockstar games Definitely managed to get it running at 60fps, like everyone says. It's rockstar games, they managed to subvert people's expectations here.
But its not the end of world for it to be 30fps but I would much rather have a 60fps mode. That's just my 2 cents here. ♥ 🐀
There is a cool trick Rockstar does for their cities, the buildings are not real size. If you put your character some floors for comparison, you'll notice.
I would like to see an attempt of at least 40fps. That would still feel quite a bit smoother than 30. I can see 60fps being done on pro consoles. Can't wait to see how a 4090 handles this.
GTA VI will have an install size of 3 TB, and installation time will be around 2 days. Interiors will be so detailed, that it will take an hour to load all the data. Hairs will be so realistic that one mission will be to collect Lucia’s hair from a crime scene.
😂😂😅
A reaction of a reaction. Incredible. Love content creators who just watch other people's content and add dumbass comments that don't say anything
Got to make that $$$
This was a good vid. 🤨
Bro what are you talking about lol Cyberpunk uses path-tracing, which is an EXTREMELY high end graphical process. You absolutely do not need a 3090 to get native 4k. Many games have native 4k on Series X and PS5. No not performance modes in most cases. But definitely in fidelity mode they do.
It's Rockstar, they only do in game trailers. Digital Foundry isn't Rockstar. I don't believe there will be a delay which is why they announced 2025. Had they announced 2024, there likely would have been a delay.
It could be that series s fidelity is what's targeted for other console's performance mode
Are people seriously asking about 4K????
People really are delusional.
Consoles are crap, and they can’t do it. Period.
It's gonna be 2025, and they will have spent 2+ billion dollars on a game that can't hold industry standard TV specs.
That's pathetic, lets be real.
They are adults in the mud pitt, just on their knees
nice joker reference at the end
I might react to this reaction of a react video
The people fighting in the mud are definitely kids.
nope
If they can get it running at 30fps on the series S I don't see why they couldn't get a 60fps mode for the base consoles
It's more of a cpu issue for gta
It's not "Gowzhian Blur" it's "Gauss-ian", like "House-ian". Reminds me of when a bunch of tubers were saying "lin-near" for linear, instead of "linny-ur". Oh well.
ight so we got elon musk jr, lester jr and wilson fisk jr lol
😂😂😂😂
This is SUPER critiquey. You gotta remember it’s at least 16 months away, things will change. RDR2 also had big changes from its first reveal trailer.
Luke, aren't you one of those guys that complains about not having 60fps? I'm almost positive you've used this as a point of critique in things like elden ring.
Elden Ring also had massive stuttering issues on top of 30 fps
With the graphics/npc counts/textures etc 30 fps is fine, lot of games with shit graphics that run only on 30 but have no reason other than devs can't optimize is the problem.
Yea he has like there’s a standard but he’s openly said he doesn’t mind 30 fps and doesn’t think it’s as terrible as everyone makes it seem multiple times
This is why I’ll wait for pc. I want to experience this game at it best not 30fps
Elden Ring does not look amazing so not having 60 is an issue. Plus souls games need a high frame rate as they are all about timing.
60fps matters for a game like spider-man 2 where the gameplay mainly consists of the player swinging, flying and venom blasting through a forest of skyscrapers at 200mph but for a game about mugging people at gunpoint, driving around and walking through interiors i think 30fps will suffice..
As a console gamer, console gamers need to understand that you either want to focus on resolution or performance. You cant have it both ways, you can only choose one, unles you own a best of pc that can run Ultra settings.
I really hope they take care in adding interactions with npc and npc programming. Comparatively, 5 was horrendous compared to 4, I’d like to bring that stuff back
So if they call the new Xbox the Xbox Next, will there be a cheaper version called Xbox Nest?
Luke what if your tv supports 120fps do you think Gta 6 will have the option for a higher frame rate?
Why was Talos principal 2 not on the list? The game needs to be played by everyone once before they die.
Pc gamers playing at 1439p: AATHIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNPLAYABLE
This video is basically me learning a lot of new things and I mean a lot 💯
I hope GTA 6 abuses my PS5 the way RDR2 abused my PS4
Say whatever you want, but under the hood, that's the unreal engine...
First Rockstar announced the announcement of the trailer, and now you are analyzing an analysis of the trailer. Such meta.
Yes, he has been called a frame rate snob before
I plaay 1080p, problem solved XD
I wish they bring back the Nvidia particle effects from the arkham games
60 on ps5 120 on ps5 pro if it exists
When did everyone get so fixated on 60fps like I get it’s smooth and responsive but I didn’t buy a 4k tv to play games in 1080p
The vast majority of people who obsess over 60fps are not gamers. They think they are but they are modders, they spend more time faffing with mods, settings and upgrades vs actually sitting back and enjoying a game as it was intended.
These people are never happy
Currently playing the definitive edition on my iPhone on Netflix!
Breaking down the trailer like how many videos have been made about this and you haven't even played the game 😂😂 you don't even know what the game is like
This is a game with a 2 billion dollar budget i wouldn’t put anything past rockstar
Not confirmed to be 2 billion, it's most likely around 1 billion
For me, I only play games at 1080p anyway, we NEED native 60 frames at 1080p at the very least. Give us options for fidelity and performance mode, Starfield got a fuck ton of backlash for the game only running in 30 fps, I'm sorry to say but for consoles that is unnacceptable in my opinion, especially if this game does release in 2025.. We are meant to be beyond forced 30. 1440p or 4k 30 frames sure, but 1080p 60 is a MUST.
The problem with basing an opinion off this is they showed zero gameplay. The days before looked amazing in the trailers, and look how that turned out 😂
This is R* my man, don’t forget
@@Luca_Talis sure they've had some good games, but they've also had some quite bad ones. Examples being L.A.Noire, the hunt, bully and Oni. Just because they've made a few good games doesn't mean every game will turn out like them. Rdr2 wasn't good at all.
@@S0n0fG0D L.A Noire was a good and game and so is bully what the hell are you talking about. They are all ps2 and ps3 game so how can you compared those with an 2025 game on ps5? Your arguments are nonsense sorry.
Just realized the channel logo is an L S and not a little flame… It kind of just turned itself into its own shape for me kinda like the OG playstation logo
I am so sick of this game already
I think people are too spoilt, the ones that complain about graphics and frame rate not being what they want, are the ones that are sat at a high end PC with no real job to break up the day. Shut up sit down, play it or dont. There are your realistic options.
i think they have their own system to show it off like this
i dont see why theyd use a ps5 or xbox with limited ram and gpu settings
i think its on a dev system they have
Rdr2 ran at native 4k 30fps on one x I expect nothing less from a full next generation console so by launch I’m expecting native 4k 30fps for base ps5 and series x with ps5 pro being 4k 60fps pc ultra settings
I just hope they provide the consoles with options ranging from 30, 40 and 60 similar to Spider-Man 2 with uncapped options. That way the game will scale better overtime with the Pro versions and whenever the next gen consoles launch.
Temper your expectations. The game will most likely run at 1440p 30fps, may be even 1080p if extensive ray tracing effects are used. Ray tracing is really heavy on the cpu and with all the npcs, physics and simulations happening in the open world ,60 fps is a pipe dream. You are grossly overestimating the capabilities of these consoles.
@@obredaanps3 ehhh 60fps I doubt maybe 40fps with lower resolution. Spiderman 2 isn’t a demanding game at all so it’s not surpringly it’s able to achieve those numbers but even then spiderman sacrifices NPCs to achieve 60fps
You need to temper your expectations because I can already tell you're going to be massively disappointed. The only console that will probably run this game at native 4K will be the PS5 Pro and it will still be 30fps just like RDR2 was on Xbox One X. The regular PS5 and Series X will likely be running at 1440p or 1440p upscaled to 4K at 30 fps. Consoles won't run GTA 6 at 60 FPS until Rockstar releases the PS6 and next gen Xbox version of GTA 6. Remember even the PS5 and Series X can't even run GTA 5 at 4K 60 FPS.
@@murdock5672 1080p lmfao must not know rockstar this ain’t cdpr.
Bro, and they’re not shooting for 30 FPS at 4K they’re going to shoot for 4K 60 frames per second
That’s not really feasible. It’s unlikely. Would be cool to achieve it.
I want Rockstar to push the visuals to it's limits so that it's future proof so it's probably gonna be upscaled 4k at 30 and maybe a 1080/60 performance mode for PS5/XSX. Cause who are we kidding, this game will probably run for another 2 or 3 generations
I will be happy with 1080p 60fps with Ray tracing kinda like performance mode in spiderman 2 because it was incredible
They don't have to push graphics that far plenty of people enjoying GTAV for 10 years and those that want better quality can just get mods on PC.
Looks real sleazy to me. Like a Fast and Furious game or something. That could be cool. I just am not super sure about present day, and Florida.
