I love your STYLE and i've been watching your videos for a long time now and picking up little tricks and techniques i've noticed when you paint plus the way you describe how you see your art has really helped me with my own paintings but i've never bitten your letter style just take what I see and hear and apply that to my own developing style........I'd like to thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping me become a better all around artist and not just with graffiti! I could easily see the S as a bit larger centerpiece to the graffiti. With DUB and TER being symmetrical and all. I do like what you did with it though. Everyone can be different.

Great work, although the “Missed section” rant was kinda dredging on. All you did is show the trolls it bothers you quite a bit. You have thousands of people watch you create art, who cares what a few instagram people say… don’t give them fuel by giving a 10 min rant on it showing it bothers you.
the world is not as negative as you think. I actually motivated many people to think about focusing on the good things after this little rant. And I got many messages afterward with red circles around parts of my sketches with the words “i love that”… i am just a human being, and i will always make mistakes, i know that. Let’s focus on the good things 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

At 33:40 when you're talking about dynamism being in the imperfections, I wondered if those discontinuities help to make it into a moment in time. It's like you're seeing it part-way through changing and reconnecting, and if it weren't for those breaks the change would already be over.. perhaps that's part of why it looks static to you if everything is closed and linked? 🤷♂️
Thanks for this one Smoe, nothing beats seeing an artist work through the whole process, especially the decision making and discovery 🙏
PS I teach at uni, and you might be happy to know my feedback starts with "what stood out:", as in noticeably succesful parts, before "things to work on", to offer a path forward, should they want it.

The way the u, s, and t are sliced into the front of the other letters is such a great use of space.

I've been trying to develop my own style of graffiti for years and I suck at it.but I love graffiti and I can draw so I refuse to give up. How did u develop ur own way of it? Any words of advise?

the whole thing with people focussing on mistakes only, makes me think of Espo's rules of graffiti, where he states that toy's should enjoy being toy, because no one is expecting anything from you, no one is looking up to you, you have all the room in the world to develop, learn, make mistakes, but established writers with a reputation don't have that luxury. Then things ARE expected from you, because (for example): "You are SMOE! One of the top echelon names in youtube graffiti', a teacher to many. I dont remember where I read it, but an artist's succes could be their downfall/downward spiral/pit. the 'real' artists (of any level, beginner or not) will understand your mistakes because they make the same ones. Keep it real Smoe! I highly appreciate you being so open and honest with your art and how you throw it into the world, keep it up!

I am surprised that you dislike critiques. I know critiques are hard to hear, especially when younger, but that is one way to find out our mistakes. As you said "I didnt even see that", we all do that. We need that third eye to catch us on our oversight.
