I prepared this video a while ago and I now realise that my critique for Lovesick Girls comes off harsher than I intended. please know that I now really like the title track! my criticism is mostly because I think it would've been more suitable as a prerelease, not because I dislike the song itself. 💜 thank you for watching and welcome back to my channel!

I agree with your Cardi B assessment. Absolutely no reason to include her here. If anything, it only boosted her career. I know she is popular, but for the same reasons I can't figure out why people like Jay-Z and Kanye West are successful. They could have easily gave all of the raps parts to Lisa (changing the lyrics), kept it all English and had a better song. As far as I'm concerned, Blackpink already proved themselves. If they released a full English song/MV (ala BTS) without a collab, it would be huge in the states.

I love the new pfp and intro and outro! I’ll edit my comment later because though I disagree that’s okay lmao. For now here’s my ranking without explanation-
1. You Never Know (I had this at third but it deserves this. This song has a relatability factor and it stings my heart. Jisoo and Rosé’s vocals are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Lisa and Jennie as well, they have a way of singing that isn’t as full as Jisoo and Rosé, but they somehow sting your heart the most. ESPECIALLY IN THE BRIDGE. Lisa’s vocals broke my heart in two as she mumbled, and Jennie’s abrupt end. Jisoo’s opening we haven’t had since See U Later and she deserved it. It’s a breathtaking masterpiece.)
2. Pretty Savage (The raps, the vocals, THIS SONG IS SO FAIR. To me Lisa and Jisoo own this song but I can also see Jennie and Rosé owning it I love them in it as well. The transitions and the way this song never sticks in one place the entire time. FINALLY SOME GOOD RHYMES AND IT’S JUST SO FLIPPING GOOD AND ALSO KINDA GIVES ME HALLOWEEN VIBES??)
3. Lovesick Girls (FINALLY A BLACKPINK TITLE TRACK WITH A FULL CHORUS. I wanted to talk about what you said because I found it interesting. To me at least Blackpinks sound could never evolve and that’s why a lot of people were extremely underwhelmed. People unstanned when every comeback was coming out, but if you notice this song and era have made lots of people unstan. So yes, while this song doesn’t have dance heavy edm vibes or the views of hylt but it’s their best title track with AIIYL. This isn’t something different, as stated in the documentary this is just the next step for Blackpink as music artists, not models. I totally respect your opinion but I thought I should let you know why I disagreed.)
4. Ice Cream (CAN I TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS DAMN SONG? IT COULD STEP ON ME. IT IS A WHOLE ASS BOP AND IN A YEAR PEOPLE WILL BE LIKE ICE CREAM WAS A MASTERPIECE. Ok lemme calm down. The only annoying part is Jisoo got last again and only got one real line but I’m pretty sure she doesn’t like this song anyway so. Lisa’s rap is ICONIC AND WHEN I FIRST LISTENED IT SENT ME INTO OUTERSPACE. The english here doesn’t even bother me, I’m an Ice Cream stan.
5. Bet You Wanna (Again... the english... but i LOVEE this song. Cardi’s rap isn’t amazing but it isn’t bad, and you gotta give her props especially after WAP. She wrote a non explicit rap. All the girls of BLACKPINK seemed extremely happy they got to work with her so I don’t see it in the filler track way. This song with Crazy Over You probably has their best English lyrics. It’s fun and when I’m in the mood it’s on repeat best believe. ALSO I’M A ROSÉ BIAS SO OFC THIS ISN’T LAST.))
6. Love To Hate Me (Now this is where it gets good. LTHM is a REALLY good song and Lisa’s rap is her best ever. I totally agree overall there’s nothing to hate. However... it should’ve been korean. You might disagree but the westernization was SO unneeded. This is basically their debut ENGLISH album. Every song has english but not every song has korean. At this point in the album I was getting extremely pissed with the constant in and outs of english. This would be way higher then Ice Cream and Bet You Wanna if it was korean. Still good though.)
7. HYLT (Very generic. The only reason it’s above Crazy Over You is because it has korean. I was very disappointed relistening, it’s fun and nice to dance to but I now hate the chorus. It really sounded imcomplete and if this was the title track I’d be so let down it’s astounding. It grew backward for me. It’s a drag and I can’t even listen to it anymore.)
8. Crazy Over You ( The raps and other parts are good but the beat drop was horrible. This song is extremely divided among the fandom and I honestly can’t hear what everyone else is hearing. Also Dana, the only line distribution channel to trust is Kom26. They do vocal analysis and count every single detail. Jisoo sadly got third and it really pissed me off. Maybe it’d be above HYLT if it was korean, but I found it extremely underwhelming.)
