Beautiful bike! Where did you find or how did you make the double akrapovic exhaust bracket that replaces the right rear foot pegs?

How is the XSR700 for taller riders? I'm 6'1" and I'm really conflicted between the 700 and 900. I prefer the looks of the 700, but coming from an R6, I feel like the power might be underwhelming. I feel like you're getting a lot more bike for the money with the 900 as well, but theres just something about the look and sound of the 700 that I love.

I had an XS 650 (UK) model in 1980 - have to say it wasn't brilliant when it came to handling but I loved the styling and at the time over here in the UK it was known as the Japaneses Bonneville but an all round better bike, wish I still had it but sold it for a Guzzi T3. The new XSR 700 is actually nothing like the old XS and the only similarities in this video is the custom paint job and it's not a retro bike but in fact a lightweight naked good fun twin which I absolutely love. However, I do like what these guys have done with the paint job and the old fashioned tank badge and it's great that Yamaha have revamped the MT07 to the XSR and the proof is how it's selling here in the UK - good job all round.

Even if I were not informed that one of them is Japanese, I can tell that he’s Japanese because of his accent haha
    p.s. I’m Japanese too.

there's a reason why most custom builder avoid working on a xsr900, view a xsr700 from the side and you can see a continuous line from the bottom of the gas tank all the way to the tail light, now google an image of a xsr900 and check out that giant ugly tumor of a gas tank with it's weird lines, YAMAHA was lucky with the 700 but the frame from the 900 simply wasn't built with a retro look in mind, since YAMAHA are targeting customers who likes retro styling motorcycles the least they could've done was have the patience to design a new frame around the MT-09 engine, not just put on some plastics with different shapes and call it a day.
