In this video my Welsh friend, who is an expat/foreigner living long term in Prague, Czech Republic, talks with me about what it is the lifestyle like for him and foreigners in general living in Prague. He discusses with me about the pros and cons of living in Prague. See what it is like living in Prague! Czech it out! See what I did there? This is the 2nd day during my 3 day layover in Prague Czech Republic. I was visiting my Welsh friend who still lives there to this day since the time I used to live there back in 2013-2014. When I first got there, I did my Oxford TEFL course there and got a Trinity College London Certificate to teach and shortly after started teaching at a private university called University of International and Public Relations Prague.

I was looking at cost of living index comparisons on Numbeo and Prague looked significantly cheaper overall to other places like Vienna, and cities in the U.S. According to their estimation a single person can get by in a 1 bedroom apartment in the city for $855/month and other expenses like utilities and groceries would be about $711/month. That's approximately $18,500 a year - does that sound about right to anyone currently living in Prague?

Way less to live? Mate house prices are higher than the house prices in the UK :) small 2 bederoom flat for £350 000!
Wow that's expensive, good to know! I think my friend probably meant the cost of renting and daily expenses were less for him
@@wonderingwade1802 rents are relatively cheap but rising fast. Yes the beer is dirt cheap so is alcohol overall. Other than that Prague is only for rich if you want to settle there and have a decent life.
