You know what? I remember Captain Planet's cartoon. I watched it a few times back then, but it wasn't one of my favorites. But looking back on it, I'm GLAD IT WAS MADE! Very conscientious series for children of my era. Very responsible show. It DEFINITELY DESERVES Recognition. I could see some very noble hearts being shaped by this cartoon in their youth 👍💯❤️

If there was ever a time to revive this series it's definitely now with all the climate stuff.
I used to watch this series when I was a kid, when I could. My mom hated it, and in retrospect I see it was really pure 100% propaganda, but the concept of elemental powers and an elemental hero is interesting in spite of the politics. The idea of there being 5 elements is an ancient Aristotalian concept, which was also the official view of the Roman scientific establishment, the Roman Catholic Church, and the medieval scientists. Although the way they broke it down was wind, water, fire, earth, and aether/quintessence. For this series they decided to go wind, water, fire, earth, and heart, for some reason. It would have been cooler if they went full Aristotle.
