Amazing arrangement. The background "shimmer" notes are so good. A lot of people would've left those out but they add so much. Sounds like a very ahead of its time DS soundtrack but perfectly fitting for MKDS.
Hi Markify, just want to let you know that this arrangement is fantastic! I'm graduating with a music degree next month and I love arranging, especially VGM. I'm just curious, do you have any music theory experience? Because this seems like it was crafted by someone with a really good ear. So many of the soundfont swaps on UA-cam feel like they are missing something and don't really capture the essence of the soundfont they are using/imitating. This one, to me, is so good because of how you arranged the bass. The bass track in DS Rainbow Road was based (lol) on SNES Rainbow Road's bass line and I feel like this calls back to that as well, especially with how everything is mixed/balanced. So many UA-cam remixers miss the mark when it comes to the actual mixing and levels but this was solid. Also, the drums and the grace notes fit in SO well with the MKDS style. And the doppler effect on the sparkle sound at the beginning is just like MKWii, it just sounds so great on top of everything you've got here. I've listened to this nearly 100 times in the past week, it's just leagues ahead of so many other arrangements on UA-cam. Really nice job!!!

it could very well be possible considering there is a community dedicated to finding every sample used in mario kart wii. There is a whole spreadsheet listing every finding (cant link it because youtube will delete it)
