      @Milo The Impaler cant control the condition of a road as far as gravel or rocks etc. If pushing hard through a corner and lose traction due to something like that... that scenario doesn't come down to riding within ability... that's an uncontrol able and an unforeseen. @@bigbilly555 you CAN brake into and perhaps even through a corner - but if you let the brake off (the front brake i.e.), you may easily upset the bike, especially if you then decide to reapply the front brake - the contact patch of rubber at the front changes, the geometry of the bike changes (as the forks compress and lengthen, then compress again on reapplication) - at speed, this is often just too much for tyre and suspension to deal with, and catastrophic loss of traction can occur extremely quickly.

    At @5:24 he's on the brakes and is shifting his body for the turn in. Mistake 1, He gets off the brakes and turns in TOO EARLY. He clearly felt he was a little too hot here, hence the brakes. He should have stayed on the brakes longer and released gently as he adds lean angle. This longer time on the brakes, trail braking, would have slowed the bike enough for the turn too. But I think the deeper, wider turn point and more upright braking, would be the better answer.
    @5:25 He gets on the brakes again, realizing he's hot. At this point he needs to stand the bike up a little and brake more, then turn in again while gently releasing the brake. This is where his turn point should have been, three feet to the left right next to the reflector at the double yellow. But he makes Mistake #2 and releases the brakes again, unloading the front.
    @5:26-@5:27 he's on his knee trying to make turn but is too hot and gets on the brakes again. This time he has to get on the brakes harder than before because he really has to tighten his arc. You can see his body position is slightly more twisted than usual showing that he's tight on the bars. Being tight on the bars prevents the bike from actually arcing like he wants it to and you see one final nose dive on the bike showing he grabbed more brakes and the resulting lowside. My suggestion at the @5:26-@5:27 point: since you can see the road is clear, stand the bike up and brake. Run wide, into the other lane, re-focus and then turn again.
    The other thing, I know this road - used to ride it a lot, is this road is gray and very pitted pavement that hides little pea sized gravel. It's traction, traction, traction, then nothing as all the little gravel moves.

    He wasn't looking far enough ahead and so pealed in way too early, then had to carry the brakes too late towards the apex. Cornering ABS/TC may have helped, but not as much as more experience and training. Some of the turns on Richard B. are very deceptive. The left-hander before the ice wall, where you're only carrying 50 mph, people have no idea just how sharp that curve is and how it's usually strewn with wash-off from the hill - although you did mention your own tires were moving around, and that's why. Keep it sunny-side up.

    Cant find the idiots comment to me about full coverage insurance on a bike thats only worth 4-5 racks.
    Ok guy here is the reason for full coverage: You insure yourself! You get it? Your body. Pain+ suffering, permanent damage, on going problems are all worth larger settlements! So you only got 4 g's for your bike, But collected 75 g's and up for bodily injury! Wake up and join the real world. You can keep your limited liability. I am insured up to $300,000 per accident. Yup I pay 2k a year for it. But if this happens to me? Im gettN paid foo!!!!! BET

  • @mitabekrea7077
    @mitabekrea7077 3 роки тому

    Well yeaah....re-applying the Brakes after you are already in the Curve, sharply leaning...we all know it's a big no-no, excepting some special Cases when skilled Rider exactly knows what he tries to do. But at some Moments everybody simply forget it and instinctively hit brakes, including the Professionals, wondering in the dirt later "why did I do that ?!?". Usually the Fatigue is to blame for such a loss of Focus, but it could really be just a random "moment of absence" or whatever Kind of Distraction... None is immune, so don't bash this Dude for it. Even bloody Marques lost the Front in similar Way, come on...8-))

    Georgia hwy 348 Richard b russel parkway heading toward Helen ga. All of the curves are very predictable up there, he just had a bad line unfortunately. You all didn’t even make it to the last section with tight 180 degree curves at the bottom of the mountain. how did he get home?

  • @Gh0stM2
    @Gh0stM2 3 роки тому

    Small advice, get a phone holder. Open google maps, and navigate the turns. Before I get all crazy I quickly look down to my maps to try to predict speed and pitch for the next curve. 9/10 maps works perfectly.

    I see you cut the video right before y’all blew past me on a blind hill and curve riding opposite lanes of travel at high speed.
    As a fellow rider, I did not appreciate you coming past me like that. I had next to no time to see you come up behind me.
    There’s having fun and there’s being reckless. You’re going to get someone killed. Any other rider could have been in the opposite lane on that road when y’all crashed.

  • @thasty100
    @thasty100 3 роки тому

    I don’t get it. You almost get killed along with your buddy and you still continue to take risk when you ride. You break the law every time with no respect for those laws and put other people at risk. If you want to kill yourself go ahead but blatantly putting vids up of you breaking those laws makes it easy for legislators to pass laws limiting the power of these bikes our just plan outlawing them. Period. I get it ! It’s a rush for you and you make money off these vids but try to remember some of these young riders look up to and mimic what you do so even thou you didn’t chose to be a role model , you are!!!
