Ryan, you’re carving is amazing I never get tired of watching you carve your work is just outstanding and there’s nothing you couldn’t do with the chainsaw you got me convinced but I still like to see you do some ocean fish like plegic and stuff and see how that works out but you are a good artist and never get tired of watching you dude
Awesome carving Ryan you remind me of myself in my younger years ice carving for different Hotels an Companies I worked for. Save your back cause I have had all kinds of problems with mine after being a Chef for 40 yrs. Eric
I am a beginner carver and started my own business Broken Branch Carvings. You do excellent work and an inspiration of where I want to be with my carving. Thank you for all the great content and tips that I can apply to my own carvings. Thank you again
Ryan think you so much! Had a great time watching and listening . Maybe some of this will rub off on me. I am a decoy Carver who would like to carve a full size eagle some day. Glad to have found your site. Looks great to me brother! Realism is very important to my work. Feather details can take days to do. You make it look simple but real. Thinks agen and best regards. Walter from Ohio. 👍
your eagle is incredibly realistic. you knew how to immortalize the moment and I recognize in you a demonic talent. I am lost in my French mountains where I try to make a living with my sculptures and your videos are always a pleasure for the eyes and incredible lessons. thank you my friend French friendships
pricing is very challenging for any artist i factor in a lot of things and try to fair but the way i do it is what was the max i got last time and how much time it took and how much the wood cost .. like when i started i would have been lucky to get 500 now i could charge over a couple g's
I will be carving a similar eagle starting Wednesday. I have to say your timing is awsome. Sorry you had to deal with the Covid. We have just had the first positive s in our family this week. Stay strong keep carving. Thanks for the great videos.
Amazing work Ryan, I would love to see how you do different textures, and everything you use the Mikita finger sander for, I don’t have one yet... but I’ve heard how highly you speak of it... Thanks Patrick
Patrick, the finger sander Ryan uses, is great quality, and I just want to share MY experience on them...DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, ON A HARBOR FREIGHT model, Its a pain, the rubber wheels wear out FAST, as do the sanding belts. Choose QUALITY, WITH MAKITA HERE, you will be glad you did!
Hi Ryan, thank you for putting these great videos up on your channel. Very inspiring, for someone here in England, too. Will shortly try my first attempt at carving.
I enjoy watching your videos. You really are a good teacher as well as a carver. I have definitely have got the bug. Looking to do a eagle next month and dropping off to my sons school which are the eagles
Just amazing how much fun you have carving! Love your vids they are informative and techniques you do on movement one can take away for their own use .Thank you keep up the great job man!
Alberta boy says. ..... WOW is right! !! Oh to have access to that kind of wood. Love fish in claws ( yes I have seen Eagles off Pender Island struggle to swim ( paddle ?) to shore with a fat salmon stuck in their claws. ....heartbreaking because of the distance, they may or may not make it. Well done Dude!
Love watching your work! I just started doing carving and am amazed at you level of skill.... IM NOT WORTHY!!! lol. Have a great day and keep the vids coming! God bless!
Hey Ryan! Thank You for sharing your knowledge! I'm just starting chainsaw carving and You really inspire me!! Because it's cold outside in Hungary, I'm carving an eagle with hand tools on a smaller scale.. Either way, this video helped me to understand how to do the feathers and the whole eagle!! Thanks again and all the Bests!!
Brill videos lmao learning a lot hopefully lol I still havnt tried the smiling bear yet everyone wanting other stuff making and with full time job it's hard to fit it all in sometimes
Hey Ryan great job on that eagle, I do alot of carving but never did the chainsaw carving, In some video could you talk about what would be needed to start out with as for saws, bars, chains, ect thanks man keep up the great work
Hi Ryan, I'm wondering, if you airbrush, with acrylics, do you have to seal, with water based sealer? I just think, the oil based, turns out so much better. Thx for all you do!
Very cool! Awesome job. This a simple suggestion. Instead of dremel tooling your name. Try a cool logo with a RC that you can make a branding iron out of and hit your pieces with that. I just think it would look cooler and make some merch with that logo. That idea popped in my mind so im just throwing it out there....advertising is my career so something to think about. Otherwise wonderful work truly amazing. You were on saw dogs that show?
That is wicked buddy I love it!!!! I hope to try something like this one day. Don’t know if you’ve ever done one(video) but I’d like to know a bit more about the chain saws you use size style that kind of thing I’m a complete beginner when it comes to chainsaws like to n Know the minimum I’d need to get going. I’ve got a Dewalt battery chainsaw but that’s it 🤷♂️. Keep up the good work I’m really enjoying you videos😉👍 saying hi from the uk 🇬🇧

You're so lucky. I wish I can have someone to carve my tree. Very hard to find one
Really nice carving....besides Cedar what other wood is good to use? Where I'm at I have loads of oak but it seems like a hard wood to carve with?
oak is good just hard
Hi Ryan, I'm wondering, if you airbrush, with acrylics, do you have to seal, with water based sealer? I just think, the oil based, turns out so much better. Thx for all you do!
that is spar varnish
Love your carvings. Hey I am wanting to carve a Pirate Face into a tree here at the school. Can you do a video on how to carve a Pirate Face?
Great suggestion!
awesome carving as always, can show your way to sharpen chains in the future?
That is coming. I just need to get my camera that zooms in and I’ll get it up probably later this month
Very cool! Awesome job. This a simple suggestion. Instead of dremel tooling your name. Try a cool logo with a RC that you can make a branding iron out of and hit your pieces with that.
