  • What to wear to Disneyland Paris? How to make restaurant reservations? In this DLP video we give you tips & tricks to avoid common mistakes visitors of Disneyland Paris make. First timer mistakes in Disneyland Paris, first visit mistakes Disneyland Paris and also common made first visit DLP mistakes.
    We cover the following subjects:
    Thinking DLP is small; don’t fall into the trap of thinking Disneyland Paris is a tiny park. It’s smaller than Disney World, but there are two Parks (The Disneyland Park and Disney Studios) which cover a huge piece of land and you’ll do it all by foot. You’ll need a lot of time to see it all and experience the rides. Take your time and stay a few days!
    Underestimating the weather in Disneyland Paris; the weather in Disneyland Paris is unpredictable. Check the weather report before you pack and be prepared for everything. Bring a foldable umbrella, a good quality poncho and during wintertime: thick scarf and gloves. Wear layers, because when it’s warm you can take something off.
    Making no reservations Disneyland Paris; when it’s not so busy in the park you are in luck, because you might find a spot in a nice restaurant after all. But most of the times you’ll end up at counter service restaurants which are less of an experience and have basic menu options. That’s why making reservations is very important. You can call the disneyland paris dinner reservation number at +33 (0) 1 60 30 40 50 and you can make your reservation up to two months in advance.
    Leaving your stroller at home or Not renting a stroller at Disneyland Paris: are your kids a bit to big for a stroller and can they walk on their own? Despite this, you’ll probably gonna need to rent a stroller. Kids get tired very quick from all the walking and they wanna be able to rest. If they don’t, than a stroller comes in handy to use as a cart to put all of your stuff in. Renting a stroller in Disneyland Paris costs 20 euro per day. If you want to be able to park-hop with the stroller, than you’ll need to pay a 50 euro deposit. You will get it back when you return the stroller.
    Go without the Disneyland Paris app; you can’t live without the app of EuroDisney! You’ll need it for so many things, like getting up-to-date information about wait times, toilet locations, character meet and greets and so much more.
    “Saving” on the Photopass; buying a Photopass+ will cost you 70 euro, but you’ll get so much in return! All your ride-photo’s are stored on the Photopass and you can have professional photo’s taken from you (and your whole family) and the characters. There’s also a photo opportunity in front of the Disneyland Paris castle. With the Photopass you’ll buy off all of the photo’s made in Disneyland Paris, but if you don’t have a Photopass, then one photo will cost you around 20 euro’s each!
    Only bring your debit card; in Disneyland Paris not everything can be purchased with a VISA card of Debit card. Some things can only be bought in cash. For instance: some carts only take cash and also tips in restaurants can only be given to the waiter in real money. You can not put in on the bill. And what about MOUSEKEEPING? In your hotelroom you might want to give the housekeeping some money to let them know you appreciate them cleaning your room. You’re gonna need cash for this too.
    The number one mistake first timers make is wearing the wrong shoes. Shoes are everything when you’re walking several kilometers a few days in a row. Don’t wear flip-flops to disneyland paris or other shoes that might going to hurt your feet. Wear shoes that you trust or otherwise buy yourself new ones (an few weeks ahead) and wear the shoes a few times so they can stretch and fit your feet perfectly.

    Yes, the Disneyland Paris app is super useful and I don't think most guests are even aware of it. It's actually one of the most key steps of the planning process we think! The app just keeps getting better and better too - especially with dining reservations now included.

    I have to stop watching your videos or I'm going to get nothing done today! First trip to DLP in September and this was so helpful especially the part about not being able to tip on your bill - as an American I never would have known that. Thank you!

      In France the service is included in the price so except an exceptional service you don't have to tip. Unlike the USA all the waiters are paid at the minimum salary who is just under 10€ per hour or more.

    Just a note about the DLP app; some of the ride wait times can be deceptive. For example, the Disneyland Railroad frequently includes the 20-minute wait for the train to come around again - it's not 25 minutes of queuing!

      Hi Tomsonic, that's true! The times aren't always accurate. That can be an disadvantage sometimes ... or not ;-)

It was a Cars themed hotelroom and for a 7/8 year old kid it was so nice! I loved the big thunder moutain. And i surelly wanna go in there when i am there😂 you've really helped me with these tips. Am I right in thinking you aren’t allowed to take any food or drink into the park with you??

    I’m going to Disneyland Paris in 2019 and this helped me so much ! I’m so scared to go due to my anxiety but it’s Disney !! I want to plan everything now so this is really helping. The app sounds like a life saver !! I really only want to get three photos ... one with Micky one in front of the castle and one with belle but I’m worried I won’t get them. Also wondering what pin trading is like in Disneyland Paris as I have a lot of pins I would like to trade. Adore your videos your both so adorable !!

    • @SeeYouInMainstreet
      @SeeYouInMainstreet  6 років тому +1

      Hi! Did you see our episode 'how to avoid the crowds'? It's a perfect video to watch for when you have anxiety. You can meet Mickey at his special location, all you need to do is wait in line. At the Princess Pavilion you can meet Belle. You can also book a dinner at Auberge de Cendrillon where you meet (almost) all the Disney Princesses. Pin trading isn't as big as in America, but you can absolutely do it in Disneyland Paris too. Have fun on you vacation!!

    Isn’t number 8 a rule for everywhere, not only Disneyland? 😅
    We bought a popcorn box 2017 in Tokyo and use it since then in all Disney Parks 👍🏻
    The best option to make a reservation in a restaurant is the App, in general, before you go to Disneyland, download the app! For many restaurants you have to make a reservation 30-60 days before your visit, so it would be too late to make the reservation in the park or the hotel…
    :)
    But I have a question: I know the photo pass + is really expensive, but how much does the regular photo pass cost?

    • @SeeYouInMainstreet
      @SeeYouInMainstreet  3 роки тому

      Photopass also includes the ride action photos. These start at approximately €16,- and you have to carry the photos though the parks for the rest of the day. Yes you can get character photos with your own camera and/ or mobile phone, but not the ride photos.
      We talk about the photopass in this video: ua-cam.com/video/B57xZ70Uf_A/v-deo.html

    jullie hebben echt een heel leuk kanaal (vind ik) en ik heb een vraag bij welk hotel verblijven jullie en hoe gaan jullie naar disneyland ?

      @SeeYouInMainstreet  6 років тому

      Hoi Brent! Dankjewel voor het compliment 😃 wij wisselen heel veel tussen hotels in Disney omdat we alles een keer meegemaakt willen hebben. 😜 Soms verblijven we buiten het Disney park. We gaan meestal met de auto naar Disneyland Parijs. 🚗

    Just an FYI: My favorite shoes here in the U.S.A are by SAS! These shoes are a little expensive, but if you want excellent walking shoes that won't do you wrong, (and you need to really have your feet measured if you buy them), these are the shoes to wear. They're made in Texas, and the website is sasshoes.com. That stands for San Antonio Shoemakers, and they're labeled as athletic shoes. They have excellent artch supports, and they don't just sell athletic shoes. Even their more dressy shoes can be used, because they've designed them for walking. No worries, they're made for both men and women. Enjoy!

    Thank you , really helpful, going in August for the first time with 11 year old twins , are the rides height restricted?

    • @SeeYouInMainstreet
      @SeeYouInMainstreet  5 років тому +1

      Hello Helen, some of the rides have indeed a height restriction. On the Disneyland website ( www.disneylandparis.com/en-gb/attractions/ ) and the Disneyland app ( play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.disneylandparis.android ) , you can find the height restrictions of the attractions. We hope this helps you plan your DLP trip. Have a Magical stay!

      Hi Lily, it's safe to bring a bag, however you must take the bag inside the rides with you. Don't bring a bag that's too big. A shoulder bag or small bagpack is perfect. Have fun!

    Good morning dears, we’re going to DLP in a few weeks with two 5 years old children. We’re going to stay two days. Do you suggest to spend one day at Disneyland Park and one day at the Studios, or do you think that it would be better to buy a two parks ticket for the second day? I am afraid that one entire day at the Studios is too much.
    Thank you!

    • @SeeYouInMainstreet
      @SeeYouInMainstreet  5 років тому +1

      Hi Stefania, thank you for your comment. We think that, like you suggested, is to visit Walt Disney Studio's for "half'" of the day. There is a lot under refurbishment and with your children being 5 years, I guess they would have more fun in the Disney park. Haver a Magical Stay!!

    Which is the best ticket for a couple for a day?

  • @eurossocial
    @eurossocial 6 років тому

    The Cheyenne Hotel is Veeery far from the park. i know it is economic and cheaper to stay there, also It is good only for those who can have longer holidays, more than 3 day, In my opinion you should stay at the Sequoia Lodge Hotel. It is much closer to the park, and a better economic category. Thank you for sharing these tips. You have a new subscriber to your channel!! By the way, do you have a video for the hotels?

    • @SeeYouInMainstreet
      @SeeYouInMainstreet  5 років тому +1

      Hi Imani, If you have only one day, we would suggest Disneyland park. Visiting both parks in one day would be a rushing marathon. Especially in winter when the parks close early (20.00h). If you have the budget for it we would recommend the Ultimate Fastpass ( ua-cam.com/video/yROP9KUKtsk/v-deo.html )to skip long cues in the regular lines. Anyway, have fun!

    Hey I have a question, I want to visit Disneyland to see the pink castle most importantly not so the rides. Can I just walk into the park ticketless to the pink Cinderella castle and then buy each ride if I want?

    • @SeeYouInMainstreet
      @SeeYouInMainstreet  5 років тому

      Hi Fernandes, sorry to say, but you do need an entry ticket to get close to the castle. The system you're describing was used in the early years of the original Disneyland park in Anaheim, California. The park that still is free to enter and buy/use individual ride tickets is Linnanmäki in Helsinki, Finland. Thanks for watching and your patience for an answer!

    Kan je ook via de conciërge reserveren voor bijvoorbeeld planet Hollywood? Of alleen de restaurants in de parken?

    • @SeeYouInMainstreet
      @SeeYouInMainstreet  3 роки тому +1

      Keer kan reserveren voor alle Disney restaurants, dus ook de hotel restaurants. Planet Hollywood is niet van Disneyen daarom kunnen ze niet voor je reserveren. Sommige restaurants, zoals Rain Forest Café, hebben niet de mogelijkheid om te reserveren.

    Als je zo’n photopass koopt betaal je dan eenmalig 60 euro? En kan je dan alle foto’s krijgen die je wilt? Of is het 60 euro en moet je dan alsnog betalen daarvoor? En hoe werkt het precies? Krijg je het dan op je telefoon?
