A very fair review and I would have to agree with all the points
I have the previous model to yours that screwed on. The screw thread is very poor and it also did not align up. I removed the glass from a polarising filter and mounted the diffuser to that. Now it can be rotated with ease. Dont know why they have not instigated something similar.
One other plus for this unit is that it is not lens and flash specific like say the AK Diffuser so may be good is you use a number of flash / lens combinations
I am thinking of cutting mine down a bit to make it smaller, but cant bring myself to do that yet. Will probably just use it indoors as well.
Hopefully this diffuser will undergo some more revisions for a budget option as the diffuser material is very good

    Bonjour depuis la France
J'aime beaucoup vos videos sur la macrophotographie 👍
Je voudrais juste savoir quel est le rail macro que vous utilsez ?

Thank you Mr. Daniel for your interest on my videos. The rail you see in my video, I made it myself from an old microscope. I have one manual rails of "OBEN". There are plenty of macro rails available at amazon. However, if you can collect one of the old microscope you can make it like mine.

They sell a black hood for the Pope-shield diffuser. LED lights are nice, but you can use the camera settings to make your view brighter. That doesn't work for very dark subjects though. My filter was aligned properly,, so no problem there. I also don't like the screws. However, i like the magnetic attachment. And the diffuser is further forward, which may be better for light diffusion.

Thank you Mr Fiedler. The diffuser is not aligned with my Laowa 67 mm lens, for which I bought this setup. But I did use it with my other 72 mm lens with step up ring, where it fits well. Thanks again for your suggestions.
