Thank you for these Rus games. I am a new player to the game and I've been following your guides but I have been stuck at Gold III because I don't know how to transition mid game. It was interesting to see these different matchups and your decision making. I appreciated how aggressive you were with pocket resources and never hesitate to tower up.
Also that defensive playstyle against Ayubbid was interesting as I usually avoid barracks and walling off, as I usually am the one putting pressure. However sometimes I just find a better opponent at feudal aggro and I don't know what to do.

Someone needs to calculate when adding in wooden fortresses for Rus just to increase the wood drop off by the influence bonus is worth it.
It is so hard to guess when the right time is, as the wooden fortresses are so expensive. You know you are always doing it too early or too late.
It is the hardest to guess bonus.
Rus feels alwas like "coming home" for me.

Not an expert but I’d imagine China never wants to stay feudal, and vs Early Knights I feel like this is extra so. But I’m curious what Beasty would say too.
Probably yes.
The right play is probably just mass vanilla Feudal spearmen defence if fighting early knights. Even if your civilisation has no bonuses for it.
