On so many occasions, Luke has stated that celebrities and influencers, with the wealth to be able to do so, should support small up-and-coming brands. During the Obama administration Michelle Obama wore several outfits from small emerging US brands, many of which were by immigrants. Designers like Prabal Gurung attribute their success to being pulled to the public eye by her. She also chose to dress more fashionably, and not just conservatively in clothing by well established brands, revealing her shoulders and arms on many occasions unlike most first ladies before her.
I am so glad that this channel popped up in my recommended. I love how you are, I am nearly 50 and have never been confident in my looks but I love fashion that is creative and your channel brings that. REALLY enjoyed this, I’m a Graphic Designer and have a huge fascination of logo design. Aesthetically I love the V logo, as it’s different yet simple, and plays with the serifs in the letter. I get how it’s difficult to separate how the mainstream buyer views the luxury logo from the brand heritage, however I feel like fashion houses have some of the most beautifully designed logos, and a huge powerful meaning of the years and history of the brand all tied into one image. For example when Giancarlo Giametti ask him, "Can we do this in fur?" Valentino walked away simply saying, "Assolutamente NO." On the other hand, Giancarlo's smart comebacks. When a reporter patronizingly asked him, "What does it feel like standing in one man's shadow... Even a significant one?" He replied in one word, "Happiness." Wow.

my mom knew Pierpaolo because one of her best friends from high school was dating him, and is now his wife. she always tells me that whenever they went out Pierpaolo would sketch anywhere he could, restaurant tissues, newspapers... i think as a person from his hometown is so cool to see him being loved in the fashion industry by many :)
I remember seeing a bag last year and it had the hardware that is on the vsling bags and I remember thinking 'since when did Diane Von Furstenburg star making these nice bags?' and idk about you but I saw a V in between two D's, one of which was reflected, and I was wondering where the 'F' went 😂 In London we had loads of Valentino posters up on the streets, in the tube stations and on buses so that's how I found out it wasn't a DVF logo but Valentino lol. As for my opinion on the logo, I just browsed through the website, specifically the vsling bags and I gotta say, I do prefer products with the smaller logo hardware as opposed to the larger, in-your-face logos. After this though, it has given me a new appreciation for Valentino and am now thinking of buying one of their bags after lockdown 😂

It was something like, often companies expect a logo to given them an identity the way a person buys a hat expecting the hat to give them a personality. What’s equally important to the logo is what the brand stands for, what it creates and what it values. The logo should reflect those things.
