The Panthers and the Mustangs met in Dallas for the 1983 Cotton Bowl Classic. Still hard to fathom after all these years how a game involving Dan Marino on one side, and Eric Dickerson on the other only produced 10 total points. Narrated by Frank Glieber. A Tel Ra Production.

​@@joetolstoy3573 I think Penn St deserved the National championship that year as they beat #1 and undefeated Georgia in the Sugar Bowl which was a defacto home game for Georgia. SMU blew their shot by tieing Arkansas 17-17 late in the year. Beating a 2 loss Pitt squad in the Cotton Bowl who had underachieved all year wasnt going to help their cause. Thoroughly enjoy the vids, thanks for your work!👍

@@StFidjnr Yes I actually watched that game last night on UA-cam. Tough break for SMU as it literally cost them the National Championship! 🏆
