Orpheolus: "I'm going for a very funny buid. Something I rarely see"
Me: "Please don't tell me he's trying to be funny and will be a stealth archer"
    Orpheolus: becomes a stealth archer

Fun fact with the duel enchantment perk when something like that chaos enchantment or other elemental enchantment is boosted by the agmented perks the other enchantment you decide to put on it will be agmented as well so you can have a dragon bone sword With like 180 chaos elemental damage and absorb 68 health on the same weapon and with complete fortified destruction on your armor you never have to feed it soulgems

Sacrificing multiple enchantment slots to get 100% fortify destruction isn't worth it since you'll be sacrificing extra dmg or elemental resistance.

@@motorpolitan8884I mean you can have another armor set to have damage resistance if you need it.

If you're wondering why the starting area is still so low levelled, it's to do with how Skyrim's level scaling is implemented. The base game doesn't take much advantage of it, although some rebalance mods did way more, but there's a minimum and maximum level assigned per-area, and your level when you first ENTER that area is what the game will use whenever you return to it in future (it might reset after something like 90 in-game days but I don't think so). So, even though the game HAS level scaling, all the areas around Riverwood and the early game dungeons cap out at pretty low levels. Conversely, Blackreach actually has a surprisingly high floor for this system. I can't be sure from memory, but I think it's 15 or something?

Yea & imo some of the best open-world games scale by geographical area because it can be used to an extent for world-building. The original NES Zelda had stronger enemies (& later game dungeons) in mountains & denser forests & etc which just feels right. As far as I’m concerned a “skill gated metroidivania” is literally just classic open-world design. 😂 Level scaling based on player experience allows for a bit more flexibility… though it’s a challenge to strike a good balance between the two methods. Breath Of The Wild might have came closest based on what I’ve played. Worst roads are described in-game by NPCs as dangerous, & Lynels for the most part are pretty far-off the main path. 🤔 It helps that it’s also so neat that the player-based scaling could be explained by Ganon’s seal weakening & his influence on Hyrule growing stronger. 👀

To me, level scaling is one of the worst ideas Bethesda has implemented. When I played through Tears of the Kingdom for the first time, I encountered a hinox it was a massive struggle to kill it. When I first found a gleeok I knew I'd have no chance taking it down. Later into my play through when I was better at the combat and had better equipment hinoxes were now easy for me and my first thought was to go back to where I found the gleeok and try my luck. You completely miss this sense of progress in Skyrim and Oblivion because everything stays on your level. The dragons just make this issue worse, the first dragon you fight not feeling much different from the last, let's not even talk about what a chore oblivion gates became.

Skyrim dosent do it as bad just becouse of how powerful you can actually get

@@roach7191Yea, the problem is much more pronounced in Oblivion due to how levelling your character works; you might get only one attribute point out of five. Morrowind also does this but is much more forgiving.

Level scaling is great and doesn't suck. It makes the game challenging and exciting for the whole play through. And yes some games do Level scaling better than others. Oblivion is implemented very poorly compared to FO3 and Skyrim

Giants, animals and basic bandits and dragons stay the same range in Skyrim. So, I personally feel the power of leveling.

@@riotd.r.8363 Giants are the best barometer for character growth imo and they represent the same experience i mentioned above. Everyone remembers the first time they got one shot by a giant and the first moment they could finally take one down.

3:12 Yep, that happened to me when I did my first playthrough a few days ago. Opened the chest, saw it, and immediately started dying of laughter because I guess Meridia REALLY wanted me to touch her beacon if she spawns it in the FIRST DUNGEON a player comes across.

13:57 according to UESP, the reason you never got the letter for The Wolf Queen Awakened is because the courier only comes with the letter to start the quest once you’ve leveled up once after finishing The Man Who Cried Wolf

Can You Beat Dragonborn DLC as The Nerevarine!
A blast from the past comes back to deal with this Miraak guy who showed up and started messing with Morrowind.
    Rules:
    Be a Dark Elf
Gather the Nerevarine's gear and reclaim your lost treasures Trueflame and Hopesfire completing the quest Ghosts of the Tribunal. Can use other weapons and magic, but the goal is to reclaim your weapons.
Can use any armor found during Ghosts of the Tribunal (Her Hand, Indoril sets ect.), can use traditional Dunmer gear until its unlocked
Get rid of Miraak and save Morrowind (again)
May have a follower, but only if you can convince Dagoth-Ur to tag along. (If you get the Mask of Dagoth-Ur and give it to a follower to equip, this counts lol)

Okay, so you start the Companions while at max level and your first radiant quest is Hired Muscle, just punch some random civilian for a bit. I start the Companions on Survival mode at maybe level 5 mostly coming from Alchemy and get Trouble In Skyrim, being asked to clear Shimmermist Cave of Falmer... Eight playthroughs in a row...
I was honestly starting to wonder if a Creation added with Anniversary Edition had changed things to make it so that's always your first radiant quest or something. Nope, guess I've just got crazy luck. Wtf Skyrim?

    • @Orpheolus
      @Orpheolus  9 днів тому +2

It might be just how the RNG plays out, Farkas either gives Hired Muscle or Trouble in Skyrim. I have always gotten hired Muscle for these runs.
