i don't get why marcy talks about boys in the original version, it would've been way better if it had played in a genderbent episode in the first place to keep the lyrics gay. also to see marshall singing it. perhaps just to see marshall singing it.

She was most likely singing about wanting to slow dance with PB but 1) it might not have been her original song (as in she didn't write it in universe), 2) she was talking about Finn pursuing PB as well, or 3) seen as both Marceline and PB are bisexual (I think...) she could just know of boys from the candy kingdom or other kingdoms which are pursuing her romantically. It is still very gay as the first choice for who it is about is PB.
