Parrish and his dad were heavy into real estate during the height of the EPMD era. So it would only make sense that his money was a little different than Erick's. It's sad that "other people" getting in their ears caused one of the greatest duos of all time to break up.

I met the whole Squad right before the break up in Atlanta. I was only in the 8th grade and in Georgia first time.
EPMD, Redman, Das Efx, K-Solo and young Keith Murray all passed us in walking, spoke, gave the universal brother head nod and peace signs. I'll never forget it.
Sermon is so underrated. Top 5 hip hop producer period. So many classic albums under his belt.

As a fan of EPMD from their first album, their breakup hit hard. I didn’t wanna choice between Hit Squad or Def Squad, so I fell back as a fan. Even after EPMD was reunited it never really felt the same.
That's facts. EPMD was always in my walkman and everyone would ask "what you listening to? EPMD?", and 90% of the time it was a Yes. Their comeback album was fire but something was off. Their reunion didn't feel organic, but more monetary and the magic was lost at least for me.

Since the 90s Ive heard Erick’s version of the story about 4 times and he always speaks like he has a guilty conscience and replies in circles about his side of the story. Studying his talk pattern and demeanor, it’s likely He was part of it, maybe not as part of the actual responsibility of setting Parrish up, but my hypothetical on this is, E’s ppl told him THEY were gonna go do this but Erick, likely being frustrated at being broke, said fuck it, shrugged, don’t try to involve him in the situation but when the statements came down, he was obviously involved. Boom. The point is E knows more than he leads on. You can tell by his “awww shucks” demeanor like the Kevin James meme he’s putting on.

That quiet mic drop moment at the end was a clever way to turn the page and move on to the next topic but to me it clearly looks like Math & Crew decided to leave it alone because they could have easily gone in with some more follow up questions and made it a hostile interview, because ish wasn't adding up.

I met EPMD in 1989 while I worked as a cameraman on a local tv show, Erick came off as very arrogant and grimey in my opinion. I’ve always been a huge fan but that stuck with me all these years. He did that shit.

Facts I'm from Long Island NY aka Strong Island NY and EPMD performed at a summer show during the early 2000s in Hempstead Long Island and after the show they were mingling with people and I watched Eric from afar and he was acting very stuck up where Parrish was more down to earth. I got the same vibe that day.
