- Hey Folks! Welcome back to a new video. The Android 13 One UI 5 has started rolling out officially for Samsung galaxy smartphones starting with the Galaxy S22 lineup first of all. In this video, I have explained how you can install this update manually without waiting for the OTA update. This method is a bit tricky so you have to pay full attention to the video without any distractions. I have demonstrated the method on my Galaxy S22 Ultra, but this will work for any Samsung phone given that the firmware update is available for your model number. For anyone wondering.. My S20+ didn't get any Update higher than Android 11 with "Searching for Updated". I skipped Android 12 now and installed 13 directly. Worked like a Charm! :) Thanks so much Usama!

I honestly think us people with the unlocked version are specifically being pushed to the back of the line. Why? because the big carriers get first dibs due to contract sales with Samsung. This is more incentive to buy the phone directly from a carrier.
using a taiwanese unlocked version and also no update yet.

I'm using an European version (Germany) and still don't have the update.

Thank you very much. I was able to update my S21+ unlocked US version, from Android 12 to 13 (one UI 5.1), from the caribbean using this method.
Did it factory reset your s21+ while flashing?
@Mara Sov is poggers It didn't. Use the home version of the CSC file if you don't want it to factory reset. Use the regular CSC file if you want it to reset. He said it in the vid 👍

Frija wasn't able to download the firmware for me, so i downloaded it manually from samfw. Then i flashed with odin.

@@djscorner0886 The written guide says "By following the steps given in this guide, you can either upgrade your Samsung Galaxy from Android 12 to Android 13 or you can just re-install the stock Android 13 on the phone."
It doesn't mention Android 11, so I doubt it will work. You can ask @TechwithUsama to be sure

Hey man, idk if u check the comments anymore but im having a massive pain troubleshooting my update problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20+. My carrier is Straight Talk but my CSC is ATT. My phone has been stuck on Android 11, OneUI 3.0 for nearly 3 years. When I try to update, it says "Update interrupted" and doesnt find an update. Ive tried everything. I wanted to try this as a last resort, but apparently the ATT csc code isnt supported by Frija. Idk what to do and its rly irritating me as I need OneUI 5 for something i am trying to get working on my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

So this is my context, since some of you might be sharing the same story as mine: I bought an Amazon Renewed S22+, the unlocked US version. Long story short, it IS unlocked NOW, however, it was originally from Verizon, which means the servers that look for updates, and the IMEI both still belong to Verizon. The problem is that the phone no longer belongs to them, since it's unlocked, and Samsung never recognized it as unlocked, even though it is. All of the times I contacted costumer support they would tell me the problem is with the other company (Samsung would say it's a Verizon issue and vice versa).
This meant that I had to resort to doing it manually, with this method. Not gonna lie, it was a scary thought at first since I'm not really anywhere near a hacker, but honestly it is a very simple process if you follow the instructions. This video makes everything as simple as just clicking a few things and waiting a few minutes, and now I finally have OneUI 5.0 on my phone!

@@southernwind15 As far as I've been able to tell, no. I may be wrong, since I only updated recently, but there's a chance I'll have to keep installing them manually every time. If someone else knows anything about this, info would be appreciated.

Its completely up to you, this method that I have shown in this video is completely safe and keeps things intact as long as you carefully follow the method. As for the update arrival, I guess it will arrive within a month at max.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was able to finally get my Unlocked US Note 20 Ultra 5g (T-mobile) updated to ONE UI 5.!! I should've gotten the update back in November but T-mobile to this day has yet to release the update. My phone so far is working perfectly with the new update!

No. Like any other locked phone with a service provider it will still be locked to them, when buying a carrier locked phone the person selling has to know someone to carrier unlock it, or pay the phone in full and have their service provider unlock it. If not you'll be stuck with a carrier locked phone.

I think yes it will wipe data, if you have an SD card i recommend to back up it first with smart switch app

did you install beta version manually? In that case, you'll have to update your phone manually. But if you opted for Samsung Beta Program, you can wait until the update arrives for you. And if you odn't want to wait at all, just follow this guide.
