      Anthony Perez can you tell us what did it cost you to go from the main island to these little ones in the boat ?

    • @aperezvoyages
      @aperezvoyages  4 роки тому +2

      It would have cost me I think over 200 aud, but the captain offered it to me for less after I explained to them how short on my cash I was in Tuvalu and how important it was to me to see at least one islet. They took less and ended up showing me the conservation area since we were out there anyways

    You certainly got to see the great beauty islands of my home country. That part where you said you had no money. Thats the part where god helped you, gave you fortune cause obviously your a good person and he saw that. Tuvalu only believe in God and God only. God Bless man and thanks for the video. 🙏🏼

      Oh man it was such a finite situation. I was okay with staying on Fongafale but after seeing pictures of the islets from friends I made, it gave me a feeling that I had to do it and go. I only had one full day left of my time in Tuvalu and that last day they were having some big national gathering. So the place I would go to find a captain they said will more than likely not be there. I got lucky to find my captain and his mate man! Was a true blessing and forever grateful for the opportunity. They even took me to more places and invited me over for toddy and umu as all shown in the video. Tuvalu is such a special set of Pacific Islands

    I've heard about Tuvalu and Funafuti it's capital but i never know that these uninhabited tropical island are so close to Funafuti itself. These are the most beautiful tropical islands I've ever seen. Temperature and humidity must be high but I don't mind, I love warm temperatures. I hope one day I can visit Tuvalu...

    Ive been looking at quite a few videos about Tuvalu and Ive become really intrested! Im wondering how much it would cost for for flights there and staying there for about one week. To my understanding Fiji has monopoly on flights there and charge quite a bit. How much would a ticket be and how about the hotels? If you count out activities, about how much would it cost staying at lovely Tuvalu for about a week? Thankful for your answer.

    The bank actually allows you to withdraw money using your debit/credit card with a little surcharge. You just have to go upstairs and they’ll help you out.
    BTW I love your videos, it’s nice to see foreigners being welcomed with open arms. The clear water and white sandy beaches are to die for. I would definitely recommend visiting the outer islands next time, I felt like I had a richer cultural experience in the outer islands and I’m Tuvaluan so that’s saying something lol

      Unless there has been an atm on Funafuti after October 2018, then coming back should be much easier 😅😅😅 thank you my friend. I’m hoping to go back to the outer islands once this pandemic is over.

    • @maryannetekie
      @maryannetekie 3 роки тому +1

      @@aperezvoyages Oh I see, my last visit was in 2019 so that explains it. It’s not an ATM just an EFTPOS machine that you can use to make withdrawals. It was very convenient seeing as we stayed longer than we initially planned to. I only visited 1 outer island but the islets there are absolutely breathtaking 😍 so yes I highly recommend that.

    Hiya, I'm in lockdown at the mo and travelling the world, diving places I've never dreamed of going - this is a beautiful video and I've truly enjoyed it but can I ask you a question? The little bird, here we would have left it for its Mom to find, why did they take it with them?

    • @aperezvoyages
      @aperezvoyages  4 роки тому +1

      Talofa! Hope you’re well during lockdown! It’s a great question actually. I couldn’t stomach the possibility of these guys eating the bird so I had to ask what they planned to do and they supposedly were keeping it as a pet. 🧐 better than food but it’s still without its mom I guess 😖

      Not that some people don’t have bad intentions, Pacific Islanders generally are kind and welcoming. Tuvaluans are extremely warm and welcoming people. They purely set a prime example of how people around the world should be !

    Brother what’s the cost to visit and stay there for two weeks?

    • @aperezvoyages
      @aperezvoyages  4 роки тому +7

      I stayed one week! One way flight costed me about 370 USD. Hotel for one week was about 300 USD. After that I found it to be okay. Water & a few groceries and a night out to eat for dinner was about 50 Aud but then again, I bought some foods in Fiji and had a heavy bag to make my food in Tuvalu. But still had tons leftover anyways because Tuvaluans invited me to food on numerous occasion. Once even at the hotel :) Rented a bike and costed me about 5 dollars to fill up what I used which wasn't much. And I used a few hundred AUD for other things including touring around the lagoon. Hope that puts in perspective for at least one week.

      I can’t really recall having to research weather patterns much for Tuvalu. It’s hot as well no matter what time of the year due to proximity of the equator. Although it might rain slightly more certain times of the year than others. Tuvalu doesn’t get hit my cyclones but here and there freak storms throw curve balls! You’ll be fine 😊🤙🏽 aloha from Hawai’i
