- Jim (Jason Biggs) is having dinner with Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) in their favorite restaurant. He wants to propose to her but he notices that his father (Eugene Levy) has the ring. Strangely, this scene is funny, embarassing, and heart-warming at the same time.
That's American Pie for you. These movies truly are the pinnacle of the teen B movie. Perfectly balanced between awkward humour, teen embarasment, and heartwarming romance.

A lot of people think the movies were only about sexual jokes and what some consider gross out comedy, but a big part of it was about what a great dad he had always ready go give advice and be there for him even for uncomfortable questins and moments. THIS is the perfect father rather than the Ward Cleaver types.

To echo other comments in this section, Jim's dad is AWESOME!!!! No matter the circumstances, he was always there for Jim. Even when the mom was embarrassed in other movies, Jim's dad pressed on and was there for his son. The way he says, "My Son" just hits the feels. I think it was perfect having him there for the proposal.
Eugene Levy is brilliant 👏 in all of these movies. Very few people could play this role like him.
this is why american pie is great. comedy with heart warming moments.

Well, as nice as this is, that would go very poorly and there would likely be several criminal charges applied. Public indecency, public nudity, public exposure, if there's any children in the restaurant then they're both now sex offenders, likely some form of civil suit from the restaurant, civil suits from any patrons with "emotional damages" etc. Don't do this in public people lol
