Finn is definitely a misdirect. They knew the entire plan. The only people who knew the plan was Tommy, Arthur, Amberama, Johnny, and Charlie. Those were the only five.

This episode and season had me at the edge of my seat.
It's not Billy. He doesnt know where the sniper is, or even where Aberama or Arthur was. Finn gave him a vague answer. Johnny Dogs wasnt attacked in the beginning which is weird. Plus Aberama suspected him in the first place too.

I think at the part that they were at the bar and then they got Barney to calm down and when they go inside there was a cigarette still smoking ang along the conversation there some scenes of them being looked at by a person hiding in a cabinet or wall? I'm not sure about this but that's what I think about it

The whole feeling of being confused is on purpose. Tommy doesn't know whats going on, so neither does the viewer. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP ASSUMING IT WAS FYNN THERE ARE SO MANY POSSIBILITIES OF WHO BETRAYED TOMMY!

Yes, people like Mosley really did exist in mainstream politics in Britain. Many people forget that before Hitler began invading the rest of Europe, Fascism was digging its roots deep into both American and British politics because at the time it was just seen as a call to radical nationalism - While there was the antisemitic undertones from the start, Genocide wasn't yet a fact of Fascism and Its only in hindsight that those two concepts are irrevocably intertwined. Mussolini fascism and Nazism are often paired together but had Hitler never taken power its likely that Fascism as Mussolini started would have survived as a mainstream movement through into today.

He has a big head because of the work he did and his wife's pushing her ambitions on to him. Completely ignoring the fact that everything he did and everywhere he worked was organized by Tommy. Him not listening to Tommy and losing family funds is the first hint we get. At first it looks like he forgot to sell because he was just partying and not paying attention, but reality is that he ignored Tommy because he thinks he's smarter. The same thing happened when he announced his plan and presented himself as the new main source of money completely skipping over the fact that Tommy put him in that position and he can take him out of it.

She most likely has Italian Mafia connections in America. The first time we see her is with Michael in Detroit. Most people only think of the Italian mob in New York City, but they also had a huge presence in places like Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Kansas City, Vegas, New Orleans, Los Angeles (remember Michael thought about getting into financing films in LA), parts of Canada including Toronto and Hamilton Ontario, and Montreal etc.

I guarantee that *Bradford, West Yorkshire* has more *Peaky Blinders* locations than *Manchester.*
If *Mancunians* disagree, then they'll have to prove it, by naming all the locations, and what they're used for in the show, as I can name all of *Bradford's,* even the ones which the clueless *City of Film* team haven't revealed.
If *Mancunians* decide to use the boundaries of *Greater Manchester* the county (as most of them usually do, by pretending the city is bigger than it is) which includes locations in *Stockport* among other towns like *Bolton, Rochdale* and *Wigan,* then I'll use *West Yorkshire* which includes locations in *Bradford, Leeds* and *Huddersfield,* where again I'm pretty sure *West Yorkshire* will have more *Peaky Blinders* locations than *Greater Manchester.*

GUUYS GUYS GUYS, LISTEN
First of all, i didn't watch your end discussion but only your reaction, so i apologize in advance. But i don't think that everything happened because of Finn and Billy. I mean, maybe partially, but the fact is that there were plenty of hints that Gina (and Michael) could be connected to either A) Italian Mafia, or B) Mosley:
A) To the italian mafia because Michael spent a couple of years in NY, a city known for the italian mafia, a thing mentioned pleny of times in the show. Also he sad that he has connections to people from Chicago (could be also italian mafia). Then, Gina and Michael talked at the meeting about how gina's family is involved with this kind of dirty import/export (again, remember the italian mafia in S4?). Then, they never told us about Gina's maiden name, there must be a reason because of it, they must have intentionally married before getting in England in order to hide it. Also, Gina is an Italian name. She is veeery probably part of some italian mafia family, she never seemed to be shocked or intimidated by the Peaky Blinder's plans or by Tommy's attempt to threatening her.
B) The way Gina and Mosley looked at each other in 5x4 during the Swan scene was very suspicious. Also, at the family meeting in 5x6 everything that Michael said about the new generation, the thirties, etc. reminded me a lot of Mosley's speech in 5x6, which Gina and Michael listened to carefully (it clearly influenced them).
But still, i would go for option A, because Mosley and the Billy Boys really seemed to know nothing about the shooting plan, otherwise they would have killed everyone involved. Both Mosley and the BB seemed to be genuinely clueless about the whole thing.
Either way, (last thing, i promise!) Billy never knew the details of the plan, so even if he called someone, they couldn' have known about the sniper. And we can clearly see that someone is spying Tommy and the others during the second part od the meeting, because everything is being shot through a mirror, the double image is so confusing and it really suggests that there could be someone else watching them from a different angle of the room.
- Also, ( but maybe it was a props mistake, who knows!) Polly picked up her black cigarette after slapping Michael. But when they return in the Pub we can see the cigarette placed again in the ashtray. And she's still Michael's mother...
- Or, if they weren't being spied, someone in the £30k scene is the traitor, we can see how Aberama looks weirdly Tommy and there are strange shots about him in that scene. Maybe he unwillingly told the details to Polly and therefore to Michael and Gina.

It’s way too obvious to be Billy. He can’t of known exactly where Barney was positioned, as well as where Aberama and Arthur were too. I think him picking the phone up is a misdirect and it’s someone close to Tommy. My guess is Johnny Dogs because he knew the whole plan and was the only one to not be attacked. Churchill is a possibility too. I’ll genuinely be disappointed if it ends up being Micheal, Gina or Billy who betrayed Tommy.
I think it was also obvious that Oswald wouldn’t get killed. He just established his party last episode so killing him off would’ve been stupid. I’m interested to see how it all plays out next season.
Alfie being alive is bullshit. Even if he survived the shot to the face, the cancer would’ve killed him by now. In Season 4, the signs on his face were severe and it’s been four years since then so he should be dead by now. I love Tom Hardy and Alfie as a character but bringing him back was pure fan service.
Aberama was done dirty. They should’ve let him get his kill at least. If Jimmy McCavern died, the real leader of the Billy Boys could’ve been introduced. Not a fan of Jimmy’s accent and it pisses me off lol.
Fuck Finn, fuck Micheal and Gina too. I’m still sure Billy wasn’t the black cat but still. No wonder Finn is kept out of the proper business and never treated like John was because he’s not trustworthy.
As a whole, a good season. I enjoyed a lot of it and Sam Claflin who plays Oswald Mosley was fantastic. One of my least favourite seasons but every season of this show is good. Four is still at the bottom for me lol. Season 6 will be insane. More than a year wait to go.

Good night The Normies, and Merry Christmas !. Now, I will tell you my theory about this season of Peaky Blinders. If you remember this particular scene from episode 2, I think there lies the key to this huge problem for Tommy. That night when Aberama drives to Tom's house carrying Charlie, Aberama tells the following:
Aberama Gold: "Are you looking for traitors? ...
"There you have one!" ...
Johnny Dogs: The man went crazy, Tom!
After a few more dialogues between Tom and Aberama, he launches a paper that says "By Order of the Billy Boys", while Tom reads this, Aberama notes the following:
"Only Johnny Dogs and theirs knew where we were camping."
My theory is that Johnny Dogs is one of the traitors in this conspiracy towards Tommy Shelby.
But I think it's a scene that is overlooked when you see it, and maybe there is the key to all this.
Definitively a plausible theory. I thought it was odd Johnny was shagging the maid in Tommy’s office to.

Bill was drafted in because the Shelby's had lost half their cash in the Wall Street crash. They needed to return to their gambling roots to gain an income in the meantime. As a former footballer, Bill has many contacts in the football world and is therefore best placed to fix games.
Johnny dogs is the black cat, remember how only he knew where bonnie and Abarama was, also Johnny dogs had a problem against abarama and he was the first one to die, if you look closely the guy who killed abarama looked like Johnny dogs

@@malaki229 Gina's family is an American crime family. Julia Roberts was rumoured to play the matriarch of the family, so Brad Pitt could play someone within the family. The other two wouldn't make much sense tbh
Alfie did have a big impact on Tommy's life. As a veteran of a war, he was the only person who understood Tommy's "condition", and the reason he had a drinking problem. A soldier is the only person who can understand a soldier. Tommy told Alfie things about himself that he never told anyone else, but he didn't tell him because he wanted pity, he just needed to tell someone and not feel as though he was being judged.
Yes, Alfie does things for his own gain, but he did respect Tommy, and he was there when Tommy needed him.
He says in this episode that he had a dream of Tommy on the back of a black horse saying "Goodbye" and then presumably killing himself, or possibly, killing the black horse. Later, in the finale of the show in season 6, Tommy is inside the caravan with a gun about to kill himself when the ghost of Ruby appears and stops him. Later, the caravan is set on fire and destroyed, and Tommy rides away on a white horse. I believe that the "black horse" in the dream is the caravan, and the caravan going up in flames is Tommy destroying his past life and his past demons.
Alfie also told Tommy that "As someone who has died I heartily recommend it", in other words, he was telling Tommy that he needed to die in order to start fresh, and Tommy did just that.

I have a strange feeling that aberama gold is the one who betrayed Tommy... but in the end he got surprised as well. I don't know exacly why but I just got that feeling.
Also i think the man who Tommy can't defeat. It's Tommy himself. Which means he is kinda playing games with himself. And that makes him crazy.

It's sad that we would have to wait for 2022 for season 6. Shooting for the next season was set to start in March but was canceled because of COVID-19.
Yes, all major Film and TV production in the UK has been indefinitely delayed including Peaky Blinders, Jurassic World: Dominion, Obi Wan, Sex Education, The Crown, The Little Mermaid & more have all been paused. It's tragic. All Disney, BBC, Netflix & Warner productions in the UK are on hold.

I get it if michael gave some input on how to expand the business, but when he suggested tommy to retire after tommy just gave him a SECOND CHANCE?? That's not the way to do it. That's just ungrateful, arrogant, and unbelievably stupid.

Am I missing something in the story? Cause I was rooting for Thomas to consider looking at Michael's idea. Yes, he may want to overtake him but at the same time, he would be helping the entire family out with a lot of their situations. I just don't get why the Normies hate Michael and Gina so much. Because it meant giving up his power. Also tommy kept thinking someone was coming to take his crown and kill him off. Which now we know is exactly what he was trying to do. His ego and want for power is immeasurable. He even says to his son “no im not god…not yet.” And becoming a silent shareholder is just a fancy way of saying “you take money i make while I do all the work.” Because the Americans would only deal with Michael because they looked down on Tommy as an old time Razor gangster.

Finn does not tell the bill where he is going but tells him that a fascist will be shot, and it is not clear where the finn has gone.

This wasn’t the original intention. Polly was supposed to live and be a part of Season 6, despite what happened in this episode. The actress Helen McCrory unfortunately passed away during the filming of Season 6, which led to them changing the story and refilming scenes to accommodate the new storyline.

Steven Knight the writer/creator of Peaky Blinders said if you really pay attention you will be able to see who betrays Tommy. They also cut out the scenes that show the person purposely but for the most part you can still figure it out. I definitely have to rewatch this season to see if I can figure it out.

Billy and Finn is too obvious. I think Johnny’s the traitor-he knew the entire plan including Barney’s position, he likely harbors resentment for Aberama, and the show’s explicitly stated that Johnny’s the only one Tommy trusted. I don’t recall Tommy aver saying he trusted anyone explicitly.
