Helpful vid! I feel like Walker makes FAR TOO many tapes, still 1.5 year after wearing systems I still can’t figure out there whole product lineup and I’ve come across some products that don’t even look like it belongs to there company …..crazy
I only use tape from walker tape. No need for the mess with glue. Leaving on a hair system more then seven days causes wear on the system and irritation on the scalp. Tape is good to take it off More often for maintainable purposes.
Waker tape is the best because I have tried some other tapes but waker tape is the best for ones who is very active physically . I have been using my system for 3 years now . How long your systems can be used ?
Thanks for sharing. The lifespan of our systems varies according to the base design of the hair system. So, some of our stock hair systems may only last around a month or so whilst others can last up to six months. However, the lifespan of any hair system is greatly influenced by the individual wearer. We can also customize a hair system for you and we can discuss designs with you that will have longer lifespans.
I’ve tried them all. Walker is the best. The entire line. I HATE glue. It ruins and makes clean up impossible. W Walker. You get perfect hold. And you don’t need any product to get it off simply condition the hair piece both sides n it slides right off. Plus sunshine tape is another great line. Both never disappoint
I still have decent growth and at about the week mark my head starts itching so bad I can't stand it. So i switched to "daily wear" tape. My goal was to do a reinstall every 4-5 days or so. The red tape from sunshine tape worked perfectly UNTIL....I took the unit off my head on day 5 but getting the tape off the unit was damn near impossible!!! It was stuck on the unit harder than any extended wear I've ever used. With that being said, my fave is Walker Extenda Bond (the tape with the holes). It gives a super strong hold on the head (well over a week) and comes off the unit easily. It's hard to take off your head at the one week mark but c-22 makes it pretty easy. and like i said, clean up is a SNAP.
@@joshyt46 This particular unit was poly. Perhaps it wouldn't have been as much of an issue with lace. But that red sunshine tape has a very thin layer of plastic between the two sticky sides. It's that layer of plastic that actually has the adhesive that sticks to the unit. After you take of the unit, the sticky part that sticks to your head come of the plastic fine. But that thin layer of plastic is still stuck to the unit. THAT is the part that is damn near impossible to remove.
Hi Sean - it's personal preference but some prefer to do it that way as they feel they get better ventilation to their scalp and that there is less build-up of residue when it comes to cleaning. Please also feel free to reach out to us via live chat or via support@lordhair.com as our team will be happy to answer all your questions.
Hi Anthony - it's hard to know what the cause could be but it may be a case of trying out different types of glue or tape. Or, perhaps, it's the new hair on your scalp growing through which would mean you would need to reshave your head more often.
Hi Kyle - have you been checking out hypoallergenic tape? Those kinds of tape would work best for you but it's difficult to say which would be best for your particular scalp. It seems you should also do some patch tests to see how you react to different types of tape.
Do you use tape or glue to attach your hair system? Or, perhaps a combination of the two? What works best for you?
Why is your head red?
I have been using the extended bond tape strips. I have a hard time peeling off the backing once I apply the tape to the system or my scalp

What about the front hairline though?

I use tape, I don't like walker's ghost bond, they claim it dries completely but it doesn't dry and just attracts the dirt
Yes, always best to experiment to see what works best for you as you did, Carl.
Would tape stay on during a roller coaster ride?
it can even stay when you are on the moon

Hey Aaron, seems you have a red mark along your hairline. What do you do to address the redness ? Thank you
Thanks Aaron😊❤️👍
Are these tapes suitable for french lace, swiss lace please?
Yes, they would be. You could use them on all base materials.
Looks great

Thanks very much for sharing your experiences! Experimenting with different types of tape and glue is very important as you've found out.

i do mine every 10 days
how long do you keep the hairpiece before maintenance
Usually our customers reapply hair system every 2-4 weeks❤
which tape last the longest before meltdown??? im using sunshine and it melts within 3 or 4 days only and its suppose to last 3 to 4 weeks.
Hi sir, we recommend you use waterproof tape or adhesive. Ultra Hold Tape or EBP tape from Walker Tape are both known to be very secure.
should i space the tape around the side and back, leaving space?

Hi , which tape is best for sensitive scalp ?

Use skin protector. I like the walker brand.
