    I recently upgraded my magicycle bike with hydrologic breaks as I work the stock ones completely down wanted to wait till I worm out the stock ones before I upgrade. It's a huge difference I can stop like 3 times better then those stock breaks should of upgraded sooner known they was good but this good it's amazing.🤠 My magicycle not stock though I had to rewire the bike for 2 battery's and changed out the rear rack then added a bunch of smaller stuff anyone can add to bikes. I also recently got to test the full range with 2 battery's got 47miles in one day. I get less miles as I have loads of hills some at 45 degree angle so very steep.☺️ + I mean st of the time hall about 70 pounds of extra weight with a cart I tow that was not with the range test though can't get 47 miles with the cart can get about 35 with cart though.☺️

      TWO batteries at once?!? That's awesome! Where is the second battery mounted on the bike?

    • @Bigdog1787
      @Bigdog1787 2 роки тому

      @@EbikeProducts it's why I changed the rear rack they make racks to house the battery wile still having a usable rack up top.
      It's a 20ah battery i thinking my next bike I want as need 2 at all times eventually Incase one breaks down and it's a 2 battery bike probably going to add 2 more battery's to it for a total of 4 battery's.🤠 You need a addon controller to be able to run more then one battery. Controller I have is what Area 13 aka Bolton eBikes makes.
      I really need range would like to try to get a 100 mile range bike that's with all the hills I currently have. The city flatlands I could probably get 80 miles with the 2 battery's.🤭 With probably a 160 mile range.

    Many ebike have 750w and 52v batteries! Ariel bikes have that! My custom made e bike goes 70 mph and two dual 5,000w hub motors and two 72V batteries.

      @EbikeProducts  2 роки тому +2

      Sorry, you are right and I should have clarified that most 20"x4" that do have 750w and 52v are scrambler style bikes that do not have adjustable seat height ranges. I'm bummed I missed mentioning that part. I like scrambler style bikes, but don't find them as comfortable to peddle and my short height makes it where I often have to lean a lot when I stop. You're bike sounds amazing! I'm too much of a chicken to take an ebike over 35mph, lol.

    Why does the promotional video on the magicycle site look like it's a Mid Drive? I got all excited but it says it's a hub motor...

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  2 роки тому +1

      I am going to take a guess that it looks like a mid-drive do to needing a place to put the controller. Over the last 2 years, I've found that I actually prefer hub drive motors and cadence sensor ebikes. Hands down, the Lectric XPremium is the best mid drive 20" ebike for the money if you are willing to take the little time it takes to learn to shift properly to protect the drive train. I have no problem shifting, but my concern is that I like to let a lot of other people ride my ebikes and I am actually a very lazy rider where I don't shift as much as I should simply because I don't have too. I have seen beginners crunch my gears and would've hated to see what would have happened if they were on a mid drive. I was going to get an XPremium, but felt that I would not be comfortable letting others ride it much and thought it was kind of why I decided to get automatic transmissions in my cars when I got married. Not a lot of people know how to drive "stick" these days and if I needed someone to drive me, it lessened my chances of finding someone. Of course, everything mentioned is just specific to me, mid drives have a TON of advantages over hub drives with regards to fun, power, and range etc, but for me I am opting for simplicity during this phase of my riding journey.
      Thanks so much for commenting! You made a great point about noticing how it looked like a mid drive.

    Chris do you like this better than the Amprides limited volt you reviewed?

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  Рік тому

      Oooo….Tough question! I really loved the Amp Rides Limited bike a lot and it was super fast since it had so much power with such a big motor on it. I’d say I would choose that one over the Ocelot only because it was a different class and I loved the speed it could do.
      I like the frame design of the Ocelot much more though and it’s fast enough for me so we use it weekly as our camera ebike to do all the review filming and is more adjustable to fit smaller riders like me.
      That’s really one of the hardest questions for me to answer. They’re such different kinds of bikes and that power of the Limited was crazy, but I don’t ride that fast often but love knowing I’d have it if I want it. If I got to keep the Limited, I’d probably ride that more than the Ocelot due to the high speed capabilities, but it’s not technically legal on my bike paths here.

    Hey Chris. Also going to come in blue and green at some point. They are showing motor at 750 watt 96Nm (10 Nm more than cruiser) up to 25 MPH (3 MPH less than cruiser). Maybe it’s a typo? Battery 52V 20Ah LG 18500 cells, 3 Amp smart charger, Controller 7-22 Amp. I hope this goes as fast as Magicycle cruiser, but they are only stating 25MPH on website? Would prefer 28MPH top speed.
    I love the idea of a step-thru. Very practical if you put stuff on the rear rack. Who needs to lift leg over the back? Very unstable.
    Overall I like this bike and can’t wait to get my hands on one. They nailed it however would have liked a bit lower price and agree 11-28 or 11-32 tooth freewheel would be better to reduce ghost peddling. Also would appreciate a larger coupon code for pre-orders.

    The gearing needs to be addressed by bike companies. What’s with the 14by Dude, there’s a motor that with that lowest gear you’re not doing too much even at the lower speeds. You can of course put a lot of effort with moving your legs very fast, but again some want strength movement instead of moving your legs with everything you’ve got a sprint if you will to help the motor at medium speeds.

Magi informed me of this 20" a few months back and its now available (pre- order). Wife thinks this will work but to be honest the price is a bit steep in my opinion. I have the option of buying two 15ah batt $600 each.😳 With tax and free shipping, price was just under $2,000. Probably not in the outside world as many range claims by ebike companies are testing distance with the bikes on things like treadmills and low resistance. My estimate would be that you’d get something closer to the 40-50mile range with throttle only and a battery that size. Of course a lot will depend on your weight, terrain, tire pressure, and how fast your traveling. I hope to be able to do a range test if I get to review one.
