I just watched that movie it shows what war can do to a human my dad was in WWII and was front line combat for almost a year and helped liberate a concentration camp. He told his stories to me and 30 years after he would still wake up some nights in a cold sweat screaming. He was a great dad and it saddened me to see what was still after 30 years never letting him forget GOD BLESS ALL WHO SERVE AND LOVE THEM WITH ALL YOUR HEART WAR IS HELL
Just watched it, 10/10 recommendation for anyone suffering from mental illness. Remember your not alone and your worth way more than you think you are. Beautiful movie!
This was such a good movie. I have PTSD from an abusive marriage not the military but trauma nonetheless. So many good life lessons in this movie and so therapeutic Thank you 🙏❤️
I just watched this movie and it was very powerful. As a Veteran it's a reminder that you are never alone. Though I did not serve in the Middle East, I had plenty of shipmates that did and i have seen their struggles. This movie made me cry, simply because my late father allowed a local Veteran Support Group to come and fish, boat, picnic, fellowship, and heal on his private property. He said he did it 1. Because it's the right thing to do for our service members and 2. Because he was the proud parent of a Naval Veteran. I give this movie a 10 out of 10. It was carefully put together and tastefully filmed.
Seeing the old man in the hospital bed gives too much of the story away in the trailer. You know he will die to deepen the emotion and help the guy with PTSD overcome his challenges. Brian Cox is a legendary actor. His work in Braveheart was off the chain. The movie looks good. It conjures up memories of watching the film "A River Runs Through It" directed by Robert Redford. They missed an opportunity to showcase the beauty of fly fishing in Montana with the scenes in this trailer.
Such a beautiful movie, at the end I was hoping they would do with how they finished the movie. Blessings to those who made this movie for injured soldiers, veterans & for the healing tool that they found in fly fishing. 🎣🎣🎣🎣

@@leannemclean9024 Yea, so I have an issue with the story. Why do we have to kill old veterans just to add drama? Isn't their wisdom good enough? Maybe he tries to kill himself but the young soldier saves him and he gets a second chance, sort of like the young soldier. PTSD is serious stuff, but it doesnt always end in death. People live with it all their lives! It is hard to come by a happy ending these days. I think people are starved for happy endings even in the face of tough decisions and a dramatic story. I was excited to see Dune part 2, until the very very end. Now we wait for part 3 and it is down hill from here if you read Dune Messiah. Not a well received novel compared to the original Dune.

Older Veteran has medical problem that makes it dangerous to fly fish alone, something that has helped him with his own ptsd. They meet, and what do you know, they don’t get along right away. Young Vet learns how to cope with his ptsd from Old Vet, who has self revelations of his own. Young Vet falls in love with local woman who just wants to help. Old Vet’s medical history catches up with him. Old and Young Vet have heartfelt deathbed moment. Old Vet dies. Wahhhhhh. Young Vet marries girl. When the movie comes out someone let me know how I did.

Water is a traditional way to clean a characters pass and move on. Generally, rain is the element used, so whoever wrote this with an idea of fishing either did this with a purpose and is an excellent writer.....or it was 100% based on fishing and was an brilliantly written mistake. History of writing part 1 is over.

Funny how it’s rated R I’m so confused on that. It’s actually great movie. I don’t think that children would have a issue watching this at all because this is real life shit right here. Alcohol and war the only reason why it should be rated R but why are we at war and have legalized alcohol.
