Well Canada is not an islamic country so obviously the environment is not going to be like it either. You have to adapt to the country you live. if you want more Islam, just go to an Islamic country.
They "want to be around more Muslims." There are dozens of countries that are literally 99% Muslim where everyday life revolves around Islam... No country in the west restricts Islam the way these Islamic countries outlaw restrict, and regulate every other religion and culture. When people like this say there are not enough Muslims, just remember that there will never be enough Muslims for them. They do not want to see anything that is contrary to Islam which would include all other beliefs, religions, lifestyles, and cultures.

You can build a mosque in Canada. Or you can wear you religious clothing but European can’t wear pant or shorts in Muslim countries…etc. I think Canada is a great country.
Saudi Arabia doesn't even tolerate Muslims who have different beliefs from them, I mean other sects. It is their country so it is their right. Every country has its own way of doing things, Pros and Cons. So having to adapt is unavoidable
As a person with Muslim background, I agree with you completely. Canada is secular country with Christian traditions and values. It embrace all religions and ethnicities in respectful and secular manner. If they want Sharia laws which doesn't respect secularism, democracy, freedom of criticism and multiculturalism, They can go to a islamic country where Islamic laws are being used.

For a simple person I am talking about... I grow up in one of the most beautiful state in Brazil, Espirito santo. It's crazy they were serious about the cold being a problem. People have lived in Canada for thousands and thousands of years.. and yeah, Canada has taxes to pay for social services, universal health care and immigrants. Insane to complain about these specific things.

As a Muslim born in a Muslim country who has been living in the UK for many years, I understand why you want to move, but maybe check out videos from other Western Muslims who moved to Muslim countries, you'll see mixed experiences. People usually have an overly romanticised idea of life in Muslim countries but later miss aspects of life in the West. E.g..the British-Pakistani brother who moved to Oman loved it initially but recently he seems frustrated and complaining a lot Oman government bureaucracy, problems with the infrastructure, and problems integrating socially. There will be issues and adjustments wherever you go. The grass is always greener on the other side initially. Unfortunately racism against black people and Asians also exists in Arab / Muslim countries. And you may be surprised to find a lot of Muslims in Muslim countries who are not practicing their religion and copying everything about the West. Unfortunately LGBTQ culture is starting to spread everywhere. May Allah SWT protect you both and guide you to the best destination for you to build your life and family together. Ameen 🤲

I went from switzerland to algeria 🇩🇿 summer is very hot and hard but like you say people are outside at night and you just feel so save in a muslim umma. I just think you have to make sure you have a good job because people are struggling soooo much because they work hard but the money is to little… and being poor in this countries is very hard. I totally support your decision. Black American here, born and raised on the East coast of the U.S. I'm in my 60's now, but I met and married a man from West Africa. We moved to his country in the 1980's for some of the same reasons you mentioned. I will never live in the U.S. again! I visit family members in the U.S. and when I do, I can't wait to leave. I have been speaking about making Hijra with my husband too. America in my opinion is not a great place to raise a Muslim family so we were considering Malaysia or Egypt for an Islamic environment because as you mentioned it slips away in the west. But interesting you brought up extreme cold being a punishment from Allah here’s a Hadith The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “In very hot weather delay the prayer till it becomes (a bit) cooler because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. The Hell-fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So God allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat, and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold.”

My family is from Kenya, and immigrated to Canada back in the 80s. I’m the first generation of my family to be born here. Canada was never like this, you could actually get ahead in life here. People were friendlier, willing to help strangers out. I had a work group made up of 50% different cultures and religions backgrounds. No one hated anyone. We used to cover for certain days and times of worship. The hate and division in this country has been a recent thing and I’m upset that people are attacking immigrants, and not our own government. Who has framed the immigrants, alienated Canadians and caused racism. As a Canadian, I’m incredibly sorry for your experience here. Know this isn’t how Canada once was. While in Kenya no one told me to get out or leave, not to wear Kenyan clothes. That Kenya is a Muslim only country, no instead I was asked to move my family back. There’s good and bad people in all different walks of life, just know this isn’t truly Canada right now. I hope we can get a better government that doesn’t push racism and division. I came from Singapore to Canada in 2022 for studies and went back after 1 year of working. I am very upset because Canada was a childhood dream of mine but when I stepped foot, I realised it's a shit hole. Instead of getting sucked into it, my wife and I returned to SG in June 2024. To us, Canada is another chapter in a book we passed!

While Canada has harsh winters, it also offers benefits such as better security, free healthcare, and free education etc, which may not be available elsewhere. If possible, the best approach is to enjoy the changing weather or spend six months in Africa during the cold season, then return to Canada for spring and summer.

I went from switzerland to algeria 🇩🇿 summer is very hot and hard but like you say people are outside at night and you just feel so save in a muslim umma. I just think you have to make sure you have a good job because people are struggling soooo much because they work hard but the money is to little… and being poor in this countries is very hard. I totally support your decision. Black American here, born and raised on the East coast of the U.S. I'm in my 60's now, but I met and married a man from West Africa. We moved to his country in the 1980's for some of the same reasons you mentioned. I will never live in the U.S. again! I visit family members in the U.S. and when I do, I can't wait to leave. America in my opinion is not a great place to raise a Muslim family so we were considering Malaysia or Egypt for an Islamic environment because as you mentioned it slips away in the west. But interesting you brought up extreme cold being a punishment from Allah here’s a Hadith
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “In very hot weather delay the prayer till it becomes (a bit) cooler because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. The Hell-fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So God allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat, and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold.”

My family is from Kenya, and immigrated to Canada back in the 80s. I’m the first generation of my family to be born here. Canada was never like this, you could actually get ahead in life here. People were friendlier, willing to help strangers out. I had a work group made up of 50% different cultures and religions backgrounds. No one hated anyone. We used to cover for certain days and times of worship. The hate and division in this country has been a recent thing and I’m upset that people are attacking immigrants, and not our own government. Who has framed the immigrants, alienated Canadians and caused racism. As a Canadian, I’m incredibly sorry for your experience here. Know this isn’t how Canada once was. While in Kenya no one told me to get out or leave, not to wear Kenyan clothes. That Kenya is a Muslim only country, no instead I was asked to move my family back. There’s good and bad people in all different walks of life, just know this isn’t truly Canada right now. I hope we can get a better government that doesn’t push racism and division.

I came from Singapore to Canada in 2022 for studies and went back after 1 year of working. I am very upset because Canada was a childhood dream of mine but when I stepped foot, I realised it's a shit hole. Instead of getting sucked into it, my wife and I returned to SG in June 2024. To us, Canada is another chapter in a book we passed!

Even here in Africa snow has started falling heavy at some places like South Africa. Like this year, it was so severe. But the good thing, snow doesn't really happen everytime and things are cheap. Not expensive at all🙏🏽.

If possible, the best approach is to enjoy the changing weather or spend six months in Africa during the cold season, then return to Canada for spring and summer.
