I'll defer to the true year round hockey fans but I watched the entire Panthers Bruins series and the entire Panthers Rangers series and the Panthers are just relentless. It felt like they could cover every damn square inch of that ice. They swarmed all over.
Exactly what I saw too, especially when playing with a lead. In the end they were still all one-goal games - including Game 1. I really think the Oilers are going to smoke them because their key players aren’t banged up like the Rangers were, so they should convert on odd-man rush transition and PP opportunities
@@michaelbacchiocchi8111 Look Mc David is a big boy and they have firepower but they've also lost games late with leads. Like I said in my statement I'll defer to you guys who know the X's & O's of the game much better than a newbie fan but the tenacity and energy of Florida has me geared up for these Finals
The only thing that would make me feel better about the Yankees is if they do better against the rest of the AL East, especially the O's. They're 8-8 against the AL East so far.
The Yankees are up 3 games. What more does he want? The AL east is always tough. The same questions should be asked of the Orioles since they have pitchers dropping like flies.
Rangers need their own forecheck to keep Theo players from getting worn down by being deep in their own zone. That means size. It also means getting guys who know how to deliver open ice hits. And the gm and coach have to understand and agree with that philosophy.

Mike, stop pretending that there's some kind of formula to the postseason or getting to the World Series. There isnt. There hasn't been one in decades. The formula is, get to October, get hot, get lucky and preferably out HR the opposition. Theres been 84 and 86 win teams in the World Series the last 2 years, any team can win. Its a crapshoot. The only thing the Yankees can do to improve their odds is win the division, have the best record in the AL, so they have home field and get that all important bye.
He's been the same way for 40 years, if he has an opinion, nothing that happens will change that opinion. He's been wrong across the board with regards to Yankees pitching. He's hated Cole ever since he got here and especially after the wild card game in '21 (has since won the Cy Young and pitched very well in the postseason since then). He's hated Rodon ever since he got here and proclaimed that "he'd jettison him in heartbeat" as he couldn't pitch in this market (3.09 ERA thus far and undoubtedly has rebounded well this season). He said Stroman will have a hard time pitching at Yankee Stadium (3.38 ERA at home so far). He holds the closer role of the Yankees to the standard of Mo which makes it impossible for anyone in the league to satisfy him. He's hated Holmes ever since he got promoted into the role and always disregards his success to "luck" all while he held an ERA of 0.00 into late May and is top 3 in the MLB in saves thus far into the year. Point is, Mike never admits when he's wrong, which i'll admit isn't breaking news haha.
@wilfredberqvist9096 Yes, and he'll say " I don't trust this bullpen ...in the big spot" and when the bullpen inevitably blows a game at some point like all bullpen do, he says "See, I was right". And yes, there is no Mariano out there. He was a freak of nature, with the greatest coordination to repeat his delivery perfectly every time and with his unicorn cutter.
He's a DH that can't run, so he's only able to accumulate WAR through his bat. Among qualified DHs he has a top 10 wRC+ (118) so he's a well above league average bat. And if you compare that to his performance last year i'd agree he's off to good start all things considered.
i have to think titans of industry such as MLB owners esp in metro areas must be fuming internally at lets just say less then expected performance ROI return on investment i am sure most have not purchased teams for the revenue stream as much as adoration / envy of others of course resale value is another thing - "so they got that going for them ... which is good " KS

Mets need to build momentum!!! What they stink!!! Momentum towards what finishing out of last place. Are we kidding!? Win two games in a row lose two in a row. They aren't good don't even talk about them until trade deadline and season over.
Yep, that franchise is deader than dead. What commentary people are failing to discuss is the attendance at New Ebbits field being down 50 percent YTD (vs 2023) and it’s only early June. That park will be a cemetery by August 1st.
If Mike is still doing shows and getting sponsorships why doesent he just go back to a big radio station where he can own the entire scene once again. He seems to be yelling into the void with this “podcast”
You can be much more flexible. Just turn on the mic when you have something to say. You decide, when, where and how long you want to talk. The big guy lives out in Jersey, commuting to and from Manhattan to do a 3-4 hour show with prep work before going on air as a 70 year old is no joke. The only thing I hope they figure out is to get callers on the show. Do it like once a week for like a hour slot. Without a doubt you'll get some of the regulars to call in and of course you'll get the jokesters.

I haven't heard any accolades since 2009. None were deserved. Owners and managers never even promised us anything, just said this is it. Even worse, it's said that saber metrics totally controls the team, and that as long as that remains the case, Yankees won't be winning any World Series. This year has been good so far.
