I know OG Bear & his family very well. Spent a lot of time chillin with those cats. As a youngster from the West Side, I wasn't very keen on his words & advice, but after a few experiences of my own my eyes finally opened up to what he was saying & doing. Nothing but love & respect to OG Bear & the rest of the various OG's who are pushing the same line.

Its quite ironic how when you were young and hard headed you didn't listen then you get older and that changes and you realize man that advice was wisdom and i should of taken it. Im in that faze im 30 next year and i look at my past and i couldn't imagine doing the shit i did in my teens and early 20s at my age. The most important thing though dont force change on a person they will always rebel and it fucks them up more then it does good ,a person changes when they want to and they got to do it at their pace and figure it out , Some people never see that change and its sad.
Its a good thing what OG Bear is doing and i can relate on his change of perspective. Some people will get it some never will but thats how it is everyone is on their own journey.

First off Bear, a little history correction. 89NHF never were crips. However, both hoods were united under 89NH. Not crips nor bloods. We're talking about the early 70s Bear. Before you started banging (78/79). At this time, 89NH played both sides of central ave. The 89NH on the east side of central ave had a friendly relationships with the crips while the 89NH on the west side had friendly relationships with the swans. Remember, neither side played crips nor blood. Not sure what year, but the east side central ave 89NH became 89NHC. Yes, Wolf 89NHC use to come through on the west side of central ave and sweat them to turn 89NHC with them. They refused because again their close relationship with the swans. 1978, 89NHC join East Coast and the 89NH on west side of central ave still under pressure to become crips or bloods. So the decision was made. Instant of becoming swans, they wanted their own identity. So, ES89NHF was born. Their decision angered Wolf 89NHECC who boldly walked into this new gang called 89NHF Calling people's out and looking for a fight. Unfortunate for Wolf that day, he was killed.
My story can be verified by the OGees 89families who's still around. The Banks family and Bridgette's family. Again, never ever were crips. Bear, this can be confirmed. Peace.
