Survivors Recall Deadly Fridley Tornadoes on 50th Anniversary

  • This month marks the 50th anniversary of one of the most devastating set of storms the state has ever seen. On May 6, 1965 six tornadoes swept through Minnesota, killing 13 people, injuring 683 and damaging thousands of homes.
    A half-century later, survivors said they hope younger generations will learn the same lessons they did living through the storm.
