I'm a third generation wheat farmer in America, my family's farm is in Montana. We used to be the third highest landowners in the county but since my family and the economy hasn't been doing well we had to sell most of it. If they would just buy inside the country instead of buying exported wheat farmers would flourish better but no they buy cheap weed outside of the States and then we have to hike up our grain to make it worth all of our bills.

And the students and fellow peers did not treat her badly. 10 years had passed and the incident has not been brought up since. But then one day, a new transfer student came. A boy by the name of Toji Takamichi. He has good looks and is smart, but when he sees Mui, he recognizes her as the daughter who she and her mother ruined a tomato garden 10 years ago. His father, who is the head of the Takamichi corporation, was a huge shareholder of Yoshikawa's vegetables 10 years ago. Due to the incident back then, the company lost a LOT! They had to salvage the damage from the loss. Therefore, a few days after Toji came to the school, he decided to be a jerk and call Mui out as the one who destroyed the Tomato Garden along with her birth mother, who is still behind bars. The video of the incident has already been spread and Mui's life will once again take a dark turn. Japan, when you divorce only one parent technically gets rights unless the other parent is given the okay from the spouse, they take it as you divorce your spouse's entire family, so the other halfs grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. have no ties to the child anymore, only in this case the maternal side. there's no dual custody really.

Adoptions in Japan aren't that common. There's usually a social stigma against "left behind children" over there. And the rules don't make it much easier. It's more likely Mui will unfortunately age out of the orphanage rather than get adopted.
Does Mui (or Miu?) deserve a second chance? I mean, she's still young and a good but strict couple could adopt her and help save her from her mother's bad habits so that she doesn't grow up to be like Mari.

She escaped from the carnival to seek out her mother and when she found her, she attacked her ferociously, tearing her limb from limb and eventually died as her spirit was appeased and moved onto the afterlife

In order to pay the debt,Mari works as a receptionist at a client company of a food manufacturer and she was totally skinny and pale that no one recognised her. Next the fate of her daughter Mui, she was being isolated at the orphanage. Why ? The news spread out and there was a gossiping about a daughter and her mother destroyed the tomatoes. Now Mui was being time out or when she act out, she was forbidden to play with toys or other kids. In school, her classmate refused to share snacks with her and the teachers always scolded her during lunch time. Now she was regretted how she went to far. As for Ken his farming with Kenta and the other farmers became uphill. They were fond of Ken and treated him as a family. A few days later before Ken told his parents about how he divorced with his wife and his daughter. His parents said," Those two got what they deserve,so Ken we are glad that you decided to live in the countryside. But can we go there? " When Kenta heard from the conversation, he happily said," Ken, you can invite your parents to come." In the few days, Ken and his parents happily enjoying the farming.

I'm a third generation wheat farmer in America, my family's farm is in Montana. We used to be the third highest landowners in the county but since my family and the economy hasn't been doing well we had to sell most of it. *Mui's After Story:*
Because of what her mother, Mari, did, Mui was forced to not only be separated from her mother, but also go to an orphanage since Mari is the only parent that holds custody rights. Mui's life at the orphanage was... hard on her. And it looks like it'll be a hard road for her as well since she'll have to deal with other kids that will mess with her because of what her mother did.
10 years pass since then. During that time, she had to endure the bullying from the other kids at the orphanage. But then, a couple decided to adopt her. And by living with them, she would grow up to be a better person. Over time, she would scorn her birth mother for letting this happen to her.
Anyways, she is a bright student at Mani High School. And the students and fellow peers did not treat her badly. 10 years had passed and the incident has not been brought up since. But then one day, a new transfer student came. A boy by the name of Toji Takamichi. He has good looks and is smart, but when he sees Mui, he recognizes her as the daughter who she and her mother ruined a tomato garden 10 years ago.
His father, who is the head of the Takamichi corporation, was a huge shareholder of Yoshikawa's vegetables 10 years ago. Due to the incident back then, the company lost a LOT! They had to salvage the damage from the loss. Therefore, a few days after Toji came to the school, he decided to be a jerk and call Mui out as the one who destroyed the Tomato Garden along with her birth mother, who is still behind bars. The video of the incident has already been spread and Mui's life will once again take a dark turn.
However, after one month, her fellow students see that Mui is not fighting back as a result from the incident 10 years ago. Because she already accepted what she did was wrong. The students instead call Toji out for being such a big jerk to her and opening a can of worms. Toji did that as a way to defend his father and his company. But ultimately, he would be the quiet one as he became ignored by the entire student body. Some of Mui's friends and peers would tell her that what happened in the past stays in the past.
Since then, Toji has become quiet and ignored. And Mui continues to have a good school life.
She's currently happy with her adopted parents, made amends with her biological father, and when her birth mother was out of jail, she berated on Mari for ruining her life and failed as a mother!

Plus, since greenhouses don't have as much space inside as the fields for growing the tomatoes, that adds to their cost. Supply and demand - fewer tomatoes grown, so they cost more.
At the end, when we were told to visit the farm, that's a real thing. Actually, it's three real things.
The first is called agritourism. You visit a farm, see how things work, and buy vegetables (fresh or in jars, as well as jelly/jam, salsa, etc.) from the farm stand/store. I visit two such farms every other month. They're very popular in October, with corn mazes, petting zoos, hay rides, etc. at that time of year.
Then there are the u-pick farms. You can pick your own fruits and vegetables. You pay for them by the pound, basket, or bushel. When I was a kid, my family used to do that to pick fresh green beans, crowder peas, strawberries, and tomatoes. There's a muscadine u-pick farm about 10 miles from where I live now (I don't like muscadines, so I've never visited that farm).
There's also something called co-op farming. You visit a farm, usually in the winter or spring. You pay the farmer then, and come harvest time, you get a share of whatever the farmer pulls in. A lot of people can do this at one farm. Everyone gets quality fruits, vegetables, and meat products (from the chickens, pigs, and cows), and the farmer gets a steady source of income (since he gets paid only once a year, he has to be really good at budgeting).

Japan, when you divorce only one parent technically gets rights unless the other parent is given the okay from the spouse, they take it as you divorce your spouse's entire family, so the other halfs grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. have no ties to the child anymore, only in this case the maternal side. there's no dual custody really.
Because 1) he's kinda jerk himself, 2) Mui really follows her mom to do this and that, so he thinks that Mui is better with the mom rather than himself.

Mui does deserve a second chance as it was her mother's actions that made her into a spoil brat. So, if she has someone who's strict on her and teaches her right from wrong then she can become a better person. Also, why is her father not taking Mui in as he should still have parental responsibilities especially now that the mother is in jail. Its not like getting a divorce means you no longer have to take care of your kid.

@@GREENHOODPOOL I understand but at the same time, the courts would've granted the mother custody of the daughter because she carried and birth her(and the court believes a father could be replaced), unless the mother proves to be harmful to the child. And the daughter agreed to stay with her mother which is enough said for the courts.
The story would've been different if it was a son but the courts automatically gives custody to the child to the daughter since a mother needs to raise a daughter more than a father. But if it was a son then the father would've had a chance.

Mari face the gossip of the whole neighbours she had no choice but to went back to her parent's house. However her parents are farmers and they saw the news about how she and her granddaughter destroyed the tomatoes which counts much money. They were furious and cut ties with her. In order to pay the debt,Mari works as a receptionist at a client company of a food manufacturer and she was totally skinny and pale that no one recognised her.
Next the fate of her daughter Mui, she was being isolated at the orphanage. Why ? The news spread out and there was a gossiping about a daughter and her mother destroyed the tomatoes. Now Mui was being time out or when she act out, she was forbidden to play with toys or other kids. In school, her classmate refused to share snacks with her and the teachers always scolded her during lunch time. Now she was regretted how she went to far.
As for Ken his farming with Kenta and the other farmers became uphill. They were fond of Ken and treated him as a family. A few days later before Ken told his parents about how he divorced with his wife and his daughter. His parents said," Those two got what they deserve,so Ken we are glad that you decided to live in the countryside. But can we go there? " When Kenta heard from the conversation, he happily said," Ken, you can invite your parents to come." In the few days, Ken and his parents happily enjoying the farming.
Not to mention one of the farmers granddaughter decided to help as well and she started to develop feelings for Ken, but Ken didn’t want to repeat the same mistake as last time so he suggested that they become friends first
