Oh my lord this video brings back memories. That empty lot in the beginning of the video used to have an old 2 story house there in the 90s. I remember seeing it as a kid everytime i would go to the old (& now abandoned empty) Omni Mall. It was a white old two story traditional house. It was demolished about 20 something years ago if my memory is correct. I think shortly after the Omni closed. I wonder how much the owner got for selling their property. This was before the massive real estate boom that's taking place in Miami now. This neighborhood also used to be extremely dangerous which is one of the reasons that contributed to the Omni Mall closing in the late 90s. Crazy how much Miami has changed
I lived at 1801 NE 4 Ave as an original owner in this low rise condo in the mid-1970’s. The building still stands, dwarfed by its neighbors. In those days, one could visit the old 1800 Club for a drink. But the neighborhood was not safe at night. The house you refer to contained, I think ,a restaurant at one time called Francesca’s. All this development is progress. It was always beautiful by the water but not lively. Best wishes!
Edgewater is such a nice location, next to wynwood and downtown, not to far from brickell, has Margaret park, also next to crossings to south beach. Kind of nice getaway from hustle and bustle, nightlife of brickell and downtown.
What about traffic and social infrastructure? In Europe you can't build skyscrapers and increase the population by thousands or even tens of thousands in one specific zone without public transport, schools, kindergardens, parks, etc.
You know what it don't see exracise areas!!!! Tennis courts basketball courts!!! What do you guys just do!!!!!! Walk and look at buildings!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😆 🤣 😂
Great video and tour!! Can you please do an update at the Aria construction site in Edgewater. I know the north tower went vertical in July.
Please make more videos like this!
