Does return have to go in same location by hot water outlet or can I run it to far side opposite of hot out

Is black pipe the proper pipe to use when plumbing?? Seems like it would scale over time. I’m think stainless or brass would be a better option.

Because the water in the system has been treated with MolyArmor 350 corrosion inhibitor, it is ok to use black pipe. Some choose to use brass and some extend the circulator pump down using PEX pipe.

2:25 is a pretty funny moment in this video: y'all pull up the PEX linex about an inch as if those lines are mobile and flexible. With the ThermoPEX buried in the ground this kind of simple mobility is unlikely. I love all these videos on your channel but this kind of unrealistic moment is surprising to see

It is recommended that you use softened water for filling your furnace. We have a water softener cartridge p/n 1310 that is for single use in filling your furnace's water jacket. We recommend you contact a Central Boiler who can help you test your water and determine what is best.
