I just finished making this...my very first woodworking project. Thank you so very much for directions I could follow. I made a couple of mistakes. I didn't know that you had to use pocket hole screws with pocket holes. I had to go back and get those. I also had some runny lines when my stain dried. I wasn't sure how to handle that part. All-in-all, I'm very happy!!!
I love it. I have a storage room with rustic shelves and I wanted to get a step stool for reaching the higher ones comfortably. Anything that looks nice is over $200 which is crazy. I can get an 8' plank for $12 and make my own.
@4:18 I see you have this square of wood on top of your pocket hole jig, and you're using your weight to secure it vs using a clamp. This seems pretty genius. How is that wood square attached?
Pretty much! You may want to add additional supports like triangles to help with the vertical support thought. Something like this instagram.com/p/B-vMAgYj1PH/
looks great
I'd suggest working a few a small radius-ing the stand on parts
Match of dark and light color is great and it looks strong and sturdy. Perfect👍👍
Thanks!

Glad it worked out!
Thank you for sharing. I'm going to give a whirl today. My senior dog needs help getting up on the bed. :)
How did it turn out?
The dog won’t use it. I better modify it so she has confidence to use it

Looks more like a picnic table for an ultra lonely and severely height restricted individual. I like it!

I really like this...I would like one double this size for another purpose. Should I just double the measurements???

What drill bit size are you using?
It's the kreg jig drill bit. Drills 1/2" (12mm) diameter pocket holes
really interesting
👍👍👍

What's the Honeybee about?
It landed on the fresh paint, that's all!
👍
Cute. 😇
Thanks, I made one. Hard making those pocket holes for a beginner.
Use a clamp, don’t hold the fixture with your hand. That’s the key.

Where are you getting your wood for that price? Home Depot is charging a fortune for wood now
Unfortunately, the video didnt really age well! Can't do it for that price here anymore either!
I can make this taller right, by just buying longer ones that go up to at least 3 steps
Foll back bro
i lo ve 🥰
I recommend woodglut to every beginner and not only.
Hey bro what length screws into the 7” piece the 13” or 15”?
