Apex Legends New Update Today & Store Rotation As Battlepass Boycott Begins

- Apex Legends Season 22's battle pass has the player base riled up. The biggest change is that you can't use earnable Apex Coins to buy the pass anymore, forcing players to spend real money. The season is also split in two, with a separate, shorter battle pass for each half. This means more rewards overall, but you need to buy a pass twice to get everything. This new system has players feeling frustrated for a couple reasons. Free players who used to save their coins for future passes no longer have that option. The total cost might also be higher since you can't recoup some coins through the pass like before. On top of that, having to buy a pass twice per season feels like a money grab to some fans. Respawn says the changes are meant to better align with Ranked mode and offer more value for your playtime, but the community isn't buying it. There have even been reports of negative reviews and some players threatening to leave the game altogether. The controversy is still brewing, and it'll be interesting to see if Respawn listens to the player feedback and tweaks the system.

Every single free to play aspect of Apex was ruined in last 2 years by EA. Free legendary weapons in free event trackers, old legend 20$ and $5 bundles, Belgium glitch on Origin (which wasn't issue until EA realized that they can milk more money from players). These are just few examples. And now this BP change... I hate this, fuck EA

Well, you're getting just about the same amount of content, more if you count the doubled crafting mats in each BP. It's not like you're paying for half of a battlepass, don't be mistaken on that.

As a Newcastle main I'm so excited about the upcoming milestone event skin! I hate the concept of the milestone and collection events. I only ever want to get the skins I want and hate the idea of having to acquire things I don't want to get other things that I do. With that said, I adore the cosmic theme of the pass and pretty much like every skin.

I really wanted that Ash skin. I have all of her cosmetics and this ONE is locked behind a gambling pay wall. But I’m not paying $360 for an ugly ass skin for a gun I barely use.
Gamers please listen. There has never been a more important time than now to protest. They are now charging for a battlepass. Stop supporting and allowing companies to gouge you in every form they can for you to be able to play a game. Apex started as a Free to play game and has overtime become a giant money pit and they keep taking things from you until there will be nothing left. Make a stand and protest this insane decision to force gamers to now pay for a battlepass that was free before. It will only get worse from here.

I miss the old days where u could earn the best skins and unlocks by playing games... sucks having to shell out more money then the cost of a console to get a cosmetic item...
They could save apex by not adding new stuff and fixing things such as: audio, no regs, removing server selection, and removing sbmm.

It’s ok though since content creators contradict themselves and say they won’t buy anything yet they always end up buying everything. I’ve boycotted the bp in some seasons and I’m glad I did.

I think something so funny about this battle pass hate is the answer to making money is right in front of EA. Cheating is the main problem people have with the game, they could make people pay for the battlepass to get a token or something that makes them able to play ranked, maybe make it like level 50 for free in the bp, I guarantee the majority of the fanbase understand and would be happy and have hope they are doing something to combat cheaters rather than the blatant choking their players of more money this bp gives us.
I would love to want to spend money on the game, but I just don't with the state it's in. I have 8000 coins and 40k craft materials sitting there waiting for them to fix their game. At this point I just wish I didn't have anything waiting.
Not a battle pass but a scam pass. I'll uninstall I don't have time to grind a battle pass that has a split. People work we are not jobless to play apex 24/7 to finish a damn battle pass.

New battlepass system is the result of EA's greedy being encouraged over the past couple of years with their overpriced cosmetics and collection events.
Cheaters, no 120fps on console, audio issues, I don’t know about others but I been getting booted from my matches a lot lately. The developers are greedy. Shiny new skins doesn’t mask any of our complaints.
Apex is my favorite game but EA is slowly killing it.
You can't get 120fps IF your TV or monitor doesn't support 120fps, the console outright tells you in its settings.
they need to stop wasting time and energy on skin releases, for a while anyways, it’s not doing ANYTHING for the health of the game

And yet they haven't invested in servers, they haven't addressed any of recent major issues and every consumer friendly aspect of the game has slowly been removed in last 2 years. Don't be fooled by their PR talk or have high hopes this will bring something good to the game. It's just a method to milk even more money from playerbase

Showing your disapproval through steam reviews is the only way we can have them effectively listen to our feedback unfortunately
This is a lot of people favorite FPS and asking them not to play is almost impossible ask.
The alternative is to voice our displeasure as a community
When a popular game goes into the negative with their reviews publishers and news outlets take notice then things happen.
So please consider leaving the game, not buying the battle pass or most practical leave a negative review.
Been watching for years now, and it’s upsetting see the game go down the path it is. There are plenty of other games out now that are like and if not better than apex and for some reason apex can’t see it they swear they still the top game and the pricing of in game cosmetics show it

Pathfinder already has this skin along with the R99 from when broken moon came out. EA and respond are struggling to make actual new content. They just keep re using old ideas and that’s why this game I so stale.

I think a lot of players aren’t getting the battle pass. Why should or would we, respawn isn’t making the game any better. I think S22 apex will lose many more players.

Honestly I think everyone is overreacting a bit lmao, if you could get the battle pass every season b4 by paying 10 bucks (950 coins), you can do the same buy buying it again for one of the splits. Ik a lot of people don’t save their coins and buy coins regularly. On the other hand, the people who have been saving since day 1 are getting screwed over. Imo i love the new changes but it shouldn’t use real money for the bp and should use coins
