You mean the plastic covering? It just peels off or you can slice it with a razor knife. To remove the old door cable you need to use a flathead screwdriver.
@@sevsantana1940 Do you have the cable inserted properly? I had it jammed in wrong at first, wouldnt move with the door handle. The square black piece needs to be inside the insert or the cable won't actually extend and retract
I have the same problem. Mine stopped working when I was in Texas. I had to have a company unlock my car and after they did. My door handle no longer works.

@@philrogers9058 It was extremely tight. I could barely fit my arms in there. That's why I couldnt really record when I was doing it. Lots of imprints on my arm though

I have to replace many time is so trash the cable or something they did wrong with the side
Cannot figure out how to get my hands in there to attach the cable next to the door latch
