I was very privileged to be able to pray behind him at Fajr at a UK Islamic conference. Whilst listening I wished he would further prolong his tilawat so I could listen further. May Allah swt forgive him and grant him a very long, healthy and pious life. Aameen.

Most amazing recitation ever. My family used to live a stone throw from Sheekh Ali Sufi mosque in Hodan district in Mogadishu, back in the days. This very sheekh visited Denmark while undertaking Da' wa in early 90ties. I was pretty young by then ,The advice he gave me changed my life for better. I moved to London and I have attended his lectures and he lead the prayer at our local mosque numerous times.

This is the first recitation that I heard from Sh Abdirashid in 2015. It is also the reason why I love him dearly. My father , Rahmatullah 3layh, passed in 2015 also, and had a very similar voice to Sheikh. I would go on to listen to this and his other recitations on a daily basis as means of soothing my soul. In 2017 I was blessed with the opportunity to perform Hajj for the first time. In the middle of Mina, while in the “city of tents”, sick and having just been to the hospital, utterly exhausted… it was in Mina that I was blessed even further with my group tent having been miraculously situated side by side with the tent of a group of African brothers, and in it, was Sheikh Abdirashid himself. I couldn’t believe, and often wonder if it actually did happen, the fact that from all the tens of thousands of tents, 4 million pilgrims, my beloved sheikh so happened to be in the next tent. After seeking the permission of those beautiful brothers to enter and listen to the lesson, I was also able to take a photograph with Sheikh. But even if I hadn’t had the opportunity to do so, the memory of this incredibly miraculous moment will forever be etched into my heart. And Allah is the best of planners !

You who were born in muslim lands or families often take his gifts to you for granted ..For us who were not born such we struggle and sacrifice much to embrace Allah and his Messeenger .
