To me the story/lyrics also perfectly describes the course of a witch hunt from the perspective of the person being accused. I think the parallels between the behavior that drove witch hunts and the ways people on the internet treat each other are so powerfully intertwined in this song. I really love the end of the song because no matter how you interpret the details it ends with them taking back power in the situation where they found themselves attacked. CHEF KISS.
