  • I had made the parts for this engine except for the crankshaft and flywheel to bee a horizontal hot bulb engine, but it ended up to bee a true diesel engine. Bore-Stroke 20-34 mm.Compression ratio 19-1 Fuel Kerosene Direct injected Build by :

Very nice Mr Hansen. This horizontal engine reminds me of my childhood in a different country at a different time. We had a 18-20 HP Cooper horizontal diesel (crude oil) engine used for milling rice, grinding corn and expelling oil. Beautiful sound.

Wow! If only I had 1% of your skill I could get some of my projects done. Just the way it ran at low rpm and the easy way it started? You Sir are a Master Craftsman.

This is a piece of art of mechanical engineering!
As a student of mechanical engineering i really can imagine, how much work you need to develop and finally to produce such an engine by your own!!!
    God bless you, Mr. Hansen!

May i ask what injection pressure the fuel pump creates

  • @Knexfoof
    @Knexfoof 10 років тому +1

May I ask how is the injector constructed? I assume a sprung needle valve with a few tiny ports in the end?
Also roughly how much fuel dies each injection use?
Wonderful engine. I love the detail and sound

As you said, you have used kerosene as fuel, will these engines also work on real diesel, which we use in car?

That would make an excellent Marine diesel engine scaled up for a UK Narrowboat. I just love the old style low revving High Torque Diesel engine. Childhood memories of the Home made Diesel engines used in the Maritimes on the coastal fishing boats.

    Greetings,
    Your engines are incredibly beautiful.
And the way the injector atomizes the fuel is amazing.
Have you ever put a tachometer on your engines?

    Absolutely excellent craftsmanship. Beautiful engine.
Anything smaller would be able to fit inside a wristwatch.

Can I ask where you get the castings from?? Flywheel and base/cylinder etc? Loving your work.

Magnificent work Find! That one runs so nice! Your six poster as a diesel would be the crown jewel! I would love to see more about your latest diesel injector nozzle design, would you consider a video on it? Is this still of the poppet style injector or a needle type? Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

Thank you for your fine comments. Yes I still use a poppet needle valve, and I have thought about recording an injector building video, because many has asked for more details how it is constructed.

I was taught that the fuel charge for a naturally aspirated diesel is 1/100,000 cylinder volume idle and 1/20,000 full fuel. How do your numbers compare?

More stunning craftsmanship! One question: what do you use for paint? The paint work is fantastic! I've been looking for some good paint to use on my model engines. Paint that looks as great as yours and durable as well...
