  • This video is ✨HEY GUYS ✨
In todays video I wanted to share with you four routines I do every single week that will makeup richer, happier, or prettier. And in the case of routine number three…it will actually help you become ALL THREE! hint: its my least favorite..ugh!
I told you guys 2021 will be the year of level up content. The year that we put the pieces back together after the train wreck, dumpster fire, mess that 2020 was. if anything I am SURE we have learned that there is not much in this life that we can control. Things can happen when we least expect it.
But we CAN always be in control of ourselves. And a funny thing happens when we focus on ourselves and what we want. Life has a way of improving all on its own!
What are your routines that make your life easier? Please leave them in the comments down below xo

When I’m feeling myself I’m a better wife. When I’m feeling good about myself I pay more attention to my daughter, I don’t have doubt or bad thoughts in the front of my mind taking up time. I can laugh and spend quality time or I can actually actively listen to what she’s saying. I take care of me so I can take care of them

It took me a very long time to realize this. I did not put myself first or take care of me. But your 100% right. You take care of yourself so that you can take care of them.

There's something radical about insisting on taking care of yourself. I grew up around mostly tired, overwhelmed women with martyr mentalities, and it showed up in their relationships in really dysfunctional ways. I want to live in integrity and have solid, clear priorities, and in order to do that I need to put myself first. When you said I DESERVE IT. it took me aback. Brilliant!

I became disabled and had to unexpectedly retire 4 yrs ago and in order to ease my transition I treat my homemaking as a career (which it is, just b/c I don't get paid for it doesn't make it any less valid) anyways I use my decades of experience as a secretary to keep on track.
Having a routine to adhere to and a "this is my career" mentality keep me from falling into despair over the drastic change in lifestyle I had to deal with.

Hi DYNP! I am the same. After a long career I find myself disabled and now at home. I literally know nothing about homemaking and am taking the opportunity to learn. It’s been fun one year in. I’d love to trade strategies and resources.

one of the things I used to do was pre-plan for ex: when I worked i knew I had to order milk every wed. So at the beginning of the year I would write in "order milk" in my planner on every wed.
Now at home I know garbage has to be on the curb every tue so I write in my planner at the beginning of the year- "put out garbage" and I fill in my planner based around that...like once a month on a Monday I make sure I toss out all the cat litter and put in fresh litter.
Also I learned from watching the janitor who would keep a roll of garbage bags in the bottom of every bin so when she took the garbage, a fresh bag was waiting at the bottom of the bin. In college I worked as a funeral home secretary and they kept small bins in each room so I keep small bins in strategic places around my home like one next to each side of the bed, one next to the couch, and I recycle plastic grocery bags as bin bags. Oh and make cleaning a treat for myself by putting on podcastss while I clean. For example I love professional wrestling so I'll put on an 83 weeks or Chris Jericho podcast while I do dishes.
Since I can no longer drive I use instacart to deliver my groceries and since I can't shovel my husband paid for a snow removal service to take care of it.
I also reorganized my pantry so that similar products are in bins and I can just grab the bin I want instead of blindly groping in the black hole that is the pantry lol
      Hope that was useful :)

3:00 to 7:58 - Planning routine (Planner is your boss)
    7:58 to 12:50 - Cleaning routine
12:52 to 19:50 - Learn to cook - Lean protein and veggies diet
19:53 till end - Beauty routine, including health/fitness routine. Prioritize this, care about how you look. If you look good you feel good. Get prior appointments on a regular basis. Take a specific and fixed time out for getting properly dressed, take care of skin and makeup.

I tell my daughter all the time to never let herself go. So many women let themselves go after they get married. My thought is that you should put even more time into looking good after you get married. I want my hubby of 26 yrs to be proud to have me on his arm. I want him to be able to tell people, my wife is hot lol i did go thru a period of time where i let myself go and felt so bad about myself. Today, i get dressed and do my hair everyday. I put makeup on at least 5 days a week. I try to maintain a healthy weight and take very good care of my skin. I think it is so important to our mental health to never let ourselves go!!

So easy to let yourself sit in pyjamas and a bun on top of your head when you are working from home. Also when my mental health is taking a hit my apperance does to. Like you said those things are important. But at the same time if my energy levels are down, I’d rather be doing the dishes than my makeup for 15 min. Sometimes you have to prioritize when you don’t have the energy for both. I’ve been struggling with my health lately. But now I’m trying to schedule my self care on sundays so that I can sit in front of the tv and watch a good show AND do my eyebrows and wax my legs at the same time. Trying to do better 😊

YES! As much as my family offers to help with chores (and I've recently forced myself to let go of the reins on many of these things! LOL), there are times when I just need to do them myself, because it's cathartic to do certain things. My teenage daughter used to laugh at me for saying that, but she's started to understand now lol.

What this boils down to is self esteem. Do you care enough about yourself to take care of yourself and your environment? My mother passed away a few weeks ago and I thank God she taught me how to always dress nice, eat right and take care of myself. I am 48 but people assume I am alot younger because I have always taken care of myself. My boyfriend loves how I dress and always look so put together. He loves that I always smell good, skin is soft and look feminine. Also cooking delicious meals for him and family. I feel good about myself and my loved ones also benefit from the effort I put in. It is well worth it! Glad I found your channel.🙂

For health reasons we've been locked down as a family in the UK for about a year now. It's been interesting to observe that getting myself dressed and presentable is as important to me now as it ever had been. It demonstrates to me that I really don't just care about how the world sees me; *I* need to be able to look in the mirror and see that I felt I was worth giving a sh*t about. I'm worth my daily gilding rituals and equally it means I know I'll invest the time at night to carefully remove the colours of the day and respect my need to take care of my face and body and prepare for sleep. When I'm unwell or my spirit's beginning to flail, there's no better barometer to tell me something's not right than my beginning to struggle with or not care about these tasks.
    Excellent video, thank you

Oh my goodness, I hear you about the clean environment. I went through a phase in my early 20's where I didn't have good cleaning habits, and I would just have clutter on every surface in my house. Couldn't even see my kitchen table. And I kept wondering "why am I so stressed and overwhelmed all the time?" And I finally realized it was my messy environment! The clutter in my home was cluttering my mind subconsciously.

I have had issues with weight, health etc over the years. i have been vegetarian and have moved to Keto Carnivore. I encourage women to look good and feel good , and take time for theirselves. I can't do anything else if my dishes aren't done or my room isn't in order. Also I grew up eating at home and going out to eat was something special even getting Chinese takeout was special, i appreciate my mom for that because home cooked food is the best.

Omg I am so so similar to you when it comes to cleaning, it's actually funny to me 😀 I always say that my mind is cluttered, full of all kinds of thoughts, ideas, feelings, so I really can't stand outside clutter. Cleaning relaxes me, and though I truly enjoy the process, the result is what matters. Thank you for your awesome videos 💋

one thing that might make meal prep a little more tangible for you is to cook your meat ahead of time and then vacuum seal it. I’m a full time student and before every semester starts I buy a box of chicken at my local fav butcher, instapot alllll of it so it’s already done and tender as all get out, and then I portion it, vacuum seal it, and pull it out at the beginning of the week without much thought, I do the same thing with my wild game after my dad or family members have gone hunting, so it becomes a matter of meal planning over prep because the lean protein is already there, the vegetables are all in my fridge, I just have to sort out what else I’ll eat along the way

I love cooking at home because I can try new recipes all the time, instead of just eating the same thing I order every time. Moroccan vegan stew, curries of various kinds, homemade pizza with whatever veggies we want, and bean and rice bowls are some of my kids (4 and 7) favorite meals. I also learned to make my own marinara (with no sugar), and now I am disappointed whenever I have to use store bought. My 4 year old also loves to cook, and especially read my cookbooks. I remember being the same way when I was his age. It starts so young, and your daughter seeing you cook sets her up to see cooking at home as a normal thing!

Meal planning has been a game changer in my household for the past two years. While we have a different lifestyle than a lot of folks (we garden, grow our own food, butcher our own meat and raise it...) the importance of having a freezer stocked is essential. All you have to do is pick what type of meat you want, then plan sides around it. I realize that not everyone has room or freezer space to do this, but if you can somehow get some things in the freezer, your life will be so much easier I promise!!!! Even freezing left overs like soup is so helpful bc on busy nights all you have to do is heat it up.

I don't judge women who don't use makeup or skincare, but in think that it makes a huge difference for me in my confidence and it doesn't take that long. A little mascara, eyeliner, moisturizer, etc. goes along way ladies 😄

Can I also say, and I don’t want this to sound weird but you always so put together that I sit here guessing your scent each time I watch your videos. You just look like you would smell nice. Somewhere between patchouli, roses and earthiness. That really clean and sultry smell

I have been watching all your content from 2 years ago i honestly have been watching your channel since 2019 but then found you again recently and have been rewatching everything again because i really need it and 100% agree with everything you’re saying
I started being a type 3 person in 2019 but throughout the pandemic and having too much time at home with youtube and retail therapy i became type 4 and probably type 5 (briefly) and now have a makeup shopping addiction definitely spent 5k on makeup in 2020 and 2021
I went from have one eyeshadow palette that i never used to having over 200 palettes and from having one blush to having 30 and so on! And the more i dove into luxury makeup the more i wanted to keep buying to catch up with all the fomo youtube influencers make it sound to be
I even started a youtube channel and a makeup IG around the quarantine time to keep me busy at the time, but it made me put away other things that are more important in my immediate life now i am trying to do a 6 months low buy and i know i will probably crack around Black Friday we shall see how this year will go but your videos are lovely and maybe i will do a no buy at all and low buy around Black Friday

These are all great tips. I do understand the beauty routine aspect. I understand focusing on looks is not ideal, however when you look good, you feel good. I don’t wear a lot of makeup anymore, but I at the very least do my eyebrows and put on mascara and lipgloss. It does help me on my low days. I really put an emphasis on skincare. I’m 46 and people actually think I have foundation on when I don’t. I enjoy my skincare regimen, it feels good to care for myself, make myself a priority, and the benefits are great. The compliments are a plus. 😉
