Although Soul Night Prequel is my favorite game of the year, I agree with the rating. The server issues haven't been that bad for me, hitting retry a few times always got me right back into the game. The gameplay has me hooked. Learning different ways to build my character, finding the best gear, which skills I should keep on my primary hotbar. The only reason I stop playing once I start is because I have to go do something. One final note, some of the UI and graphics can be a little non descriptive. I couldn't figure out how to get fish or what it even was, until I stumbled upon the premium shopkeeper. I'm still not sure if the premium items are worth the high cost yet. But no ads! Solid A tier.

Considering pvp seems to be almost completely optional in Warcraft Rumble, I've personally actually had a lot of fun so far just slowly grinding out the pve levels. Hopefully it does stay this way though & Blizz doesn't get too greedy; I wouldn't bet on it though haha
This is a very good point, and to be honest, I had a REALLY hard time figuring out how I should weigh the PvE vs. PvP when ranking it in this tier list video. @@NimbleThor Yeah those old-school dungeon crawlers were great in 90s. Some players slightly fight the oldschool controls but that's understandable. I actually made it third-person but the gameplay is very similar.

Honkai Star Wild should have been A tier easily. Its one of the best turn based games on Android. The Gacha system is much more generous than people actually give it credit more .

I hope more people try to play limbus company. The story is just fantastic and the effort the team has put into it shows. I know the gatcha tag might scare you but all the characters can be acquired through just grinding if you end up loving the game.
This. Although he do have a bit of point for the UI, tutorial (which you better watch other tutorial video instead since Project Moon tend to be bad at that, but game mechanic and difficult spike is another story though since it a beast. Image darkest dungeon game) and maybe gameplay. But the rest of it are really good though, especially the music, art and story
I just wanna take a moment and thank you for making a list where you take into consideration the p2w aspects and the autoplay and the overall experience, and also with the amount of games you are able to find and play, I keep using your videos to send for friends who just wanna find new games on phone to play Edit: I just noticed that you even put the game tier list in the description and now I feel like you were the hidden gem of reviewing games, please expand more onto pc games and whatnot because your contact is truly worth watching and the hard work you put in is very appreciated
This is a fantastic list. Another great game that came out this year is Caves of Lore. Its a fully featured cRPG in the vein of baldurs gate. I played it so much over the summer.
I'm glad you liked it, thank you :) And oh yes, I actually wanted to include Caves of Lore but somehow ended up missing it! I've heard great things about it, though. @@NimbleThor Good to be back! I have been hooked to an old game, "Quest Keeper" i used to play a long while ago. It's about advancing through a dungeon avoiding traps and collecting coins to unlock equipment with special effects, and you can't stop walking (unless you hit a wall), quite simple but very polished and good old fun. Sadly it's not in the Play Store anymore so had to download from somewhere...
Quest Keeper, nice. I haven't played that one myself :) It sounds fun. I've played other games with that "you can't stop unless you hit a wall" mechanic, and they're always fun. An ye, it's really a shame that so many games disappear from the app sores :/

@@NimbleThor Thanks for asking 👍 I've been playing Brawl Stars for 3 years so far. This is the best Brawler game I have ever came across, probably the BEST Non-FPS, Multiplayer, PvP game on mobile? The other game I liked really much was Soul Knight and Magic Survival. (All of these games were launched solely for mobile, and that's the most amazing part because it takes very less time to go full cashing-mode when it comes to mobile games monetization.) I am looking to play CarxStreet next if I ever get time. It looks to me something which needs more love knowing there's nothing in that genre in mobile 😅. I really like your tier-list videos and often watch these for choosing a game. You're the best TBH when it comes to games taste on mobile. I hope one day I can support you through patreon etc. (I can't afford anything right now 😭) You are an incredible human being, honestly. You reply to every darn comment on YT/Reddit etc. I want to be your friend ❤️. Take care and work for a good personal life as much as you do on professional. I have two questions for you: 1). How much time do you generally spent on games before reviewing them? It seems to me most of the mobile games require just about a week to get the most experience, after that the repetition starts occuring. Any thoughts? 2). Your Top3 games in which you spent the most time this year (need not to be mobile specific)? 😁
Uhh, nice. Thanks for sharing :) I really should get back into Brawl Stars. I haven't played it in years, but I've always wanted to go back at some point. Hey there, dudemeister! As always, thanks for the great suggestions and fair/balanced reviews! You're the king of mobile game reviewers and I love finding new games on your videos. I'm not sure if these are all 2023 releases but here's the list of new ones I bought since we last shared recommendations. Madness/Endless is just phenomenal and Fireball Wizard has me hooked with it's old school feeling. The puzzle game Stuffo is unique and a cerebral challenge that has great music and graphics. Exolotl: Zian took me a little while to warm up to but it's starting to get my itch for NES style games scratched. I have a few ones to try out still but Mask Up has a surprisingly original control scheme and I can't wait to see where it takes me. 2023 was a great year for mobile games and I'm anticipating 2024 to be stellar. Much love and respect!
Yo yo roguemeister ;) That's an awesome list of games you've got there! I haven't even heard of several of the games, so thanks a bunch for sharing them. I have terrible luck with finding decent mobile games. I was looking for the longest time for something multiplayer and either roguelite or strategy and still haven't found something that scratches the itch. 😅@@NimbleThor
Man it's to bad that newer phones run games on 64 bit and cannot play some old games that still are on 32 bit it's sad bc some of the best games of all time are 32 bit and can be played on older phones
@overthr0w138 the thing is some cannot be played like rivals at war ( random game ) the thing is all the games that are 32 bit I cannot play them eaven whit a copy apk to make them 64 bit becuse it seas I don't own the lisence of the game like I can download it on my old phone and play jast fine but in the newer phones I cannot do anything whit it
@@SpirosPapadopoulos-tu1ux sounds like them being 32 bit is not the issue. The issue is probably that the certificate that proves that this game is not modified ran out. I can play 32 bit games on my 64 bit phone perfectly fine (although it's not optimized for that ofc)
I wouldn't count on it, mate. I used to use "roguelike" and "roguelite" correctly, but many people didn't understand what I meant when I used those words. So I switched to calling all "roguelites" for "roguelikes" too. Simply to avoid confusion. So based on my experience, at least, roguelike is here to stay, and roguelite might just fade away. I wish it was different, but it seems unlikely at this point.
Awww yeah! I hope you'll have a great time with Dungeon Ward. Brotato is awesome too - it's one of my personal favorite games in that genre. Stay awesome, mate :) And you can always find my newest reviews on MiniReview.io.
@NimbleThor it's been a blast! I didn't have to but I've downloaded the premium on dungeon ward and have binged it the last 3 days after work! I'm rank 387 ❤️ the fact that it has one creator makes me think of combat magic, the phone game that most of my audience is from. It's also medieval style, if you haven't played it yet it's really good 😀
Nice! Is this the game you're talking about when you say "Combat Magic", btw? play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lb4business.swordsbowsmagic&hl=en&gl=US It looks awesome! Just checking to make sure it's the one :)
@NimbleThor yeah! That's it! There are options to pay to advance your level faster or have more character slots, but really none of it's necessary to get a character to the top level or have the best gear. It's rare to see games like that, but when you do it's usually just one creator trying to make a fun game for people, so needless to say I bought everything I could even if it wasn't much
Guys,There is a very creative game that I have played before. I saw it in the Apple App Mall, horizontal version, breakthrough, flight, and the painting style is black and white silhouette. There are three chapters in total. Players need to control arrows, darts and bullets to bypass obstacles and hit the target respectively. But I could not find it
There will never be games like Order & Chaos (one of the most complete mmorpg in mobile that gave an experience equal to WOW but on MOBILE!) and Infity Blade. GOATED games.
One of few games you should consider Beat Cop Loop Hero Pixel Tank Evolution (this one runs on an older version of Android but it's a really fun game to play)
Ohhh yes! They released after I had scripted and recorded this video, but they definitely deserve a mention! :) So thanks for bringing them up, mate. That's awesome!
I dunno what are the prerequisites for being triple A game on mobile, but by what we could see in this video, there is no double A game here, nor a triple A. But really, I liked the video, I am about to buy a flagship device (finally) and want to know a lot more about android games. Are there great games without any option to buy anything in game? I bought one (FF War of the Lion), and it is a great game. Would love to see a video about this kind of games.

@@itsfadixx Yeah, the monetization isn't perfect. But I was able to have a good time with it as a free player, so I decided to still include it here :)

Haha, so true :p But quality beats quantity in these cases (just look at how trash the official app store reviews are at gauging if a game is actually good). But it's definitely always nice to have more reviews, I agree. @@DungeonWardAhh, yes, true about the first/third-person part. My mistake :) Are you still updating the game or working on new games, by any chance?
@@NimbleThor With my limited time and second baby on the way I am not planning any more projects than this one. So my goal is to just improve it further. I am updating it mostly every month mostly with minor things but next year I plan to add some new maps as well.
@@DungeonWard Hey, congratulations on the second baby that is on the way! :) And yea, developing a new game from scratch would be incredibly time-consuming. But you can definitely be proud of what you've built! In terms of overall quality and experience, it easily beats most other indie games that get released.
I’ve never actually search best mobile games and expected to find good ones. This is new to me😭 thank you
What's your favorite game?
Honkai Star Wild should have been A tier easily. Its one of the best turn based games on Android. The Gacha system is much more generous than people actually give it credit more .
ikr
Agreed
This was am awesome watch! Really cool to see some familiar names that I never thought will appear on the list. Like Omega Strikers hehe
Uhhh yeah, thank you! :) I always try to find some of the games nobody talks about. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great rest of your December, mate. Stay awesome!
Great content man, don’t stop making videos.
At this point if I hear gotcha, I don't even give a chance to the game.
Same goes for : "You just need to play a bit more to get it" sentence.
@@zippo7422 you get all the characters without having to pay, the gacha system is just for different ways to play them. you dont even have to get them

I just wanna take a moment and thank you for making a list where you take into consideration the p2w aspects and the autoplay and the overall experience, and also with the amount of games you are able to find and play, I keep using your videos to send for friends who just wanna find new games on phone to play
Edit: I just noticed that you even put the game tier list in the description and now I feel like you were the hidden gem of reviewing games, please expand more onto pc games and whatnot because your contact is truly worth watching and the hard work you put in is very appreciated
And it was recently covered on MiniReview too, where it got a positive review and 3 user ratings: minireview.io/role-playing/caves-of-lore. Sounds awesome, thanks for the recommendation.

I've been playing Brawl Stars for 3 years so far. This is the best Brawler game I have ever came across, probably the BEST Non-FPS, Multiplayer, PvP game on mobile?
The other game I liked really much was Soul Knight and Magic Survival. (All of these games were launched solely for mobile, and that's the most amazing part because it takes very less time to go full cashing-mode when it comes to mobile games monetization.)
I am looking to play CarxStreet next if I ever get time. It looks to me something which needs more love knowing there's nothing in that genre in mobile 😅.
I really like your tier-list videos and often watch these for choosing a game. You're the best TBH when it comes to games taste on mobile. I hope one day I can support you through patreon etc. (I can't afford anything right now 😭)
You are an incredible human being, honestly. You reply to every darn comment on YT/Reddit etc. I want to be your friend ❤️. Take care and work for a good personal life as much as you do on professional.
I have two questions for you:
And oh yes, Soul Knight and Magic Survival are amazing, I agree. Two of my personal favorites, hehe.

hopefully in 2024 there will be less people butchering the term roguelike
I wouldn't count on it, mate. I used to use "roguelike" and "roguelite" correctly, but many people didn't understand what I meant when I used those words. So I switched to calling all "roguelites" for "roguelikes" too. Simply to avoid confusion. So based on my experience, at least, roguelike is here to stay, and roguelite might just fade away. I wish it was different, but it seems unlikely at this point.

It's rare to see games like that, but when you do it's usually just one creator trying to make a fun game for people, so needless to say I bought everything I could even if it wasn't much

welcome to 2024 where tencent got their hands on extraction game. now it gonna be milked to death.
Nice
I'm glad you liked it, mate :D What games have you been playing yourself lately?
Farlight 84 mate and blood strike
@@Thelucky0226 Nice! I'm really looking forward to trying Blood Strike once it releases globally. I've been waiting for a while, hehe.

NimbleThor try daisho cool japanese style
Nice, thanks for the recommendation, mate :) I appreciate it. If you've played it, feel free to leave a user rating of it on MiniReview. That's a huge help for our community: minireview.io/role-playing/daisho-survival-of-a-samurai
SAS4 & stick war 3 & Vampire's Fall: Origins RPG, Codm & Alien Invasion RPG Idle Space.
Awesome games! Thanks for sharing them, mate :) Have you tried the new game from the Vampire's Fall dev? It's called "Vendir: Plague of Lies", and it was also included in the video. Just curious to hear if you've tried it.
@@NimbleThor Just a few minutes, but it isn't for me, so I deïnstalled it. But if you like it, just keep playing it.
No worries at all, mate :) Oh, and ave a great 2024. Hope it'll bring great things for you!
I think bluetooth controller support is also klnda pay to win tho. Soo many ppl are not playing with it and it gives you a huge advantage wich costs money
In some games, it can give an advantage, yes. But I love single-player games or co-op games with controller support :)
Honestly Honkai Star is just overhyped game to be in B tier, it's a straight up D tier
bro got the mind of pixeleted
Haha :p I don't personally prefer pixel art, but many mobile games use that art style, and I care more about the gameplay than the art :) What are some of your own personal favorite mobile games, mate?
Try a different genre t3 arena and polywar
Oh yes, T3 Arena was fun. Polywar I haven't tried, thanks for suggesting it.
