You could always give your tv some eyes! A teacher at the school I work put the big Googly eyes on her projector screen and gave it a name. Anytime she needed the kids to look at the screen she would say “ eyes on bob”. Idk if you’d be allowed to put anything on your tv though lol!

I feel the same! In a way I feel guilty taking time to set up my classroom when the kids aren’t there but in the other hand it makes me happy and gives me a second to breathe so I’m trying to find the balance!
I love your channel and your classroom looks great!!! My only suggestion would be to switch your “writing” and “in math” board titles so that your “in math” anchor charts are next to the number talks in the front of your room and your “writing” anchor charts will be next to your grammar time resources. I teach lower elementary and the younger kids kind of need all of the resources for the same subject near each other so they know where to look in the room if that makes sense.
Please always share your setup videos and spend as much time setting up and decorating as you can! This is what keeps us believing that we will all be able to be with our kids again! I love watching your creativity and wanting areas to be just right! Creating your classroom home is good for the soul - both yours and the students - do you girl!

I used your idea for the Roaring Greeting for my First Graders and they LOVE IT. It is how we start off our day. It’s also perfect because our school mascot is a lion!
The IKEA cube storage is excellent! I would have done the exact same thing; in fact I did with our schools excess amounts of milk crates to create storage my room didn’t have. With the wires on the wall, what if you pulled the IKEA out away from the wall just a smidge (even with the stage) and hide that bundle of cords behind it. The room is inspiring! Do what you need to do to do your best work. Keep Striving!
What about “Look at books we’re loving” then have pictures of the kids holding their favorite book and maybe have them write 2 sentences about the book

Are teachers required now to fill up all wall and board space? When I was in grade school (albeit long ago), teachers didn’t put a lot of material up on the wall. I feel like I would be so overloaded and overwhelmed if I were a student today trying to process all the boards, posters, procedures, and visual stimulation! It’s all beautiful colors and clean lines but it seems like a lot to fill up every single space.

If you move rooms do you think you’ll keep the same color scheme? I love the green and blue! Would a rolling table for your computer setup work? That way you could roll it out of the way when the kiddos come back.
Gosh I wish I had as many whiteboard as you have. My room has one whiteboard, one blackboard (yuck!!), 4 regular sized bulletin boards and 1 larger sized bulletin board.

It wouldn't be for them to sit there....just to store them. But I tried it and they don't fit, so don't worry. Have faith in knowing I am ALWAYS thinking about the kids safety :)
You could put on your reading board "look who got caught reading" and hang pictures of your kids reading. Love the set up.
